This paper focuses on the adjustment of the clearance between the shafting systems of the reducer in practical work from the aspect of work practice, mainly from the two forms of end cover of the adjustment of the reducer bearing clearance.
The bearing end cover for reducer fixing is generally divided into two types: external and embedded. The external end cover has a simple structure, but the sealing performance is good, and the box cover should be opened when adjusting the bearing clearance, which is mostly used to fix the bearing with non-adjustable clearance. When the externally mounted end cover is used to fix the bearing, the bearing clearance and sealing performance can be adjusted with the adjustment gasket, which is convenient for assembly and disassembly, but the length of the shaft section is increased.
