The first step is to find the system volume information folder in the root directory of the system disk, which can be translated as "system volume label information" in Chinese. This folder stores the backup information of the system restore.

The second step is to back up the system volume information. The easiest way to do this is to make a copy directly, but for the maintainability of the backup file, the necessary compression should be used.

Step 3, if the system uses NTFS partition, if we click directly on the System Volume Information folder, a warning will appear. Because the System Volume Information folder is only accessible to the system by default, even if you log in as a member of the administrators group.

After that, click on the System Volume Information folder and select WinZip or WinRar to compress it.

Once the compression is complete, copy the compressed file to a safe place. After that, whether the system disables the system restore function by itself because the disk space is insufficient or we manually disable the system restore function, as long as we turn the system restore function back on, then manually delete all the folders and files in the system volume information folder (the restore point files established by the system itself when the system restores the function is re-enabled), and then extract the backup compressed files to the system volume information folder, and then start System Restore on it.

It depends on whether you have set the restore point before?

If you don't have it, there is no restore problem.

<>2.In the System Protection tab, select Create.

3.Enter a description of the restore point, and then select Create> OK.

Windows automatically establishes a restore point before each major update is installed, and we also recommend that you manually establish a restore point every month.

Note: If protection is not enabled, please select the disk you want to turn on, click Configure, click Enable System Protection, and then click OK. (For system disks, we recommend that you set the disk space usage to 5% to 10%)

System Restore is only a restore to a relatively early time, if your system has been installed for a long time you cannot restore to the system when you first installed it. And whether the restore function of each hard disk partition is enabled also directly determines whether that disk can be restored? In short, the greatest usefulness of System Restore is when you find that the system fails after installing a software or hardware, and it is not equivalent to reinstalling the operating system. >>>More
