TV Tokyo warned Youku to delete more than 70 pirated anime.

According to foreign media reports, Japan's TV Tokyo today issued a warning letter to **** Youku (nyse: yoku), once again asking Youku to delete the copyright owned by TV Tokyo "Naruto", "Bleach ", "Gintama", "School Rescue Group" and many other anime content, in accordance with China's copyright laws and "notice-delete" rules, clean up more than 700,000 relevant pirated links on Youku itself.

Last month, TV Tokyo officially asked Youku to remove the anime content protected by China's Copyright Law, and at the same time issued a warning letter to Youku's advertisers who advertise on pirated anime programs.

TV Tokyo said in the warning letter that Tudou (NASDAQ: TUDO) had obtained the exclusive online broadcast rights of more than 60 anime works, including "Naruto", "Bleach Reaper", "Gintama" and "Gakuen Rescue Team" on December 1, 2011, and the relevant person in charge of TV Tokyo also notified Youku related people in person. TV Tokyo and Tudou also sent notices to other networks** platforms, including Youku, stating that only Tudou has the right to use the Internet to ** these licensed works in Chinese mainland.

However, we were shocked to see that anime such as Naruto are still being illegally used on Youku**. To make matters worse, these are even still being updated weekly. Youku's blatant contempt for copyright, as well as its disregard for a series of notices, shocked not only TV Tokyo, but also the entire Japanese animation industry.

    TV Tokyo said to Youku.

TV Tokyo condemned Youku, saying: In the past, Youku has always told TV Tokyo that it will respect copyright and is eager to license content. However, what Youku is doing now is completely contrary to what was previously stated.

We must say that unless Youku immediately corrects the unethical behavior, the door for TV Tokyo and Youku to cooperate in the future will be closed forever. We are also very sure that the rest of the Japanese animation industry will have the same opinion. We hope that your company will immediately remove all relevant pirated links from Youku** without any further delay.

TV Tokyo also said it would reserve the right to take further legal action, either indirectly or directly, in China or internationally.

Anyway, it's a copyright issue, the Japanese are very copyright-conscious, and some of them cost hundreds of dollars to play a PSP game, unlike China, where piracy is everywhere, although I use piracy, I don't mean anything special, just to express a social status quo.
