Arrive at Nantianmen at almost 12 o'clock in the evening, basically Nantianmen is only 20 minutes away from the top of Mount Tai, and most people choose to rest here. If you have money, there are many expensive hotels, and if you don't have money, you can find some small hotels. You can bargain, we are very lucky, we found a hotel with only 2 rooms left, after cutting half a day, 80 yuan for 4 people, it is also very cost-effective for 20 per person.

There is really no money, many people choose to rent military coats outside and sleep on the ground, but it is very cold on it, so it is recommended not to suffer that crime. Climb up at 4 a.m. to see the sunrise.

Recommendations on what you must bring:1Water (this is the most necessary, we each brought 4 bottles, there are also sold in the mountains but it is very expensive).

2.Bring a thin piece of clothing to block the wind (the wind is very strong on the mountain, sweat will soak through the clothes when climbing in the middle of the night, it is easy to catch a cold when the wind blows, and it is okay to bring a down jacket, if you are afraid of sinking, you can rent a military coat, 5 yuan a piece).

3.Flashlight (most of the road on the hill is unlit).

Others are casual (those who are not physically strong sell crutches at the bottom of the mountain, and it is very helpful to go up the mountain).

We spent a total of about 160 for one person, which was still very cost-effective.

ps: We have been walking up, if you are tired, there is a bus from the red gate to Zhongtianmen, from Zhongtianmen to take the cableway to the South Tianmen, but it must be daytime, personal advice or walk the eighteen plates in person, otherwise it is very boring to go directly to the cableway.

From the bus stop Tour2 (not 2Route, Tour2) bus terminal or taxi to Candle Peak, you can see the trailhead, there is a hotel nearby. The climb starts at around 1:30 a.m., and if you are slow, you can reach the top of the mountain in 4 hours, and you can reach it by going up the stairs and waiting for the sunrise. Of course, the preparation is enough for a day of food and drink, especially water, thick clothes (it is recommended to have a slightly thicker one, more trouble, you can rent a coat when it is cold at the top of the mountain).

According to my experience of climbing Tarzan, the things you need to bring are:

In addition, the rare "barrel structure" developed by Mesoproterozoic diabase porphyry at home and abroad has high scientific value.

Mount Tai is the highest mountain range in the hills of Shandong, the stratum is a typical basement and caprock structure area of the North China platform, the southern rise is large, the caprock is weathered away, exposing a large area of basement - Taishan complex, that is, the Taishan group strata of the Archean Realm, its absolute age is about 2.5 billion years, it is one of the oldest strata in China. The rise in the northern part is small, and the caprock preserves the typical Paleozoic strata developed on the North China platform. The landform of Mount Tai is divided into four types: alluvial platform, denudation accumulation hills, tectonic denudation low mountains and erosion structure middle and low mountains.

Mount Tai belongs to the flora of North China, due to the influence of the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea, the rainfall is abundant, and it is a transition zone of alternating dry and wet. Mount Tai plants grow luxuriantly, with 174 families, 645 genera and 1412 species of higher plants446 species of lower plants;There are 1136 species of vascular plants, belonging to 133 families and 550 genera, including 814 species of wild plants and 322 species of cultivated plants. The vegetation of Mount Tai is divided into forests, shrubs, shrubs, meadows, meadows and other types, and the forest coverage rate is more than 80%.

There are 989 species of seed plants in 144 families, including 433 species of woody plants in 72 families, 556 species of herbaceous plants in 72 families, and 462 species of medicinal plants in 111 families.

There are a total of 4 routes up and down the mountain in Mount Tai, of which there are two on the front, namely the Red Gate Route (pure hiking) and the Tianwai Village Route (by car), and the general tourists are going up and down the mountain from these two routes on the front, because the bottom of the mountain is directly the urban area of Tai'an.

In addition, there are two routes to the back mountain, one is the Tianzhufeng route and the other is the Taohuayu route (also known as the Caishixi route). The Tianzhu Peak route is relatively "original", suitable for wild mountaineering enthusiasts, and ordinary tourists should choose carefully. The Taohuayu route is more tortuous, generally the cable car + sightseeing car sales, and there are not many people who walk this route at a loss.

Finally, I would like to remind you that these two routes are the suburbs of Tai'an, and if you want to go down the mountain from these two routes, you will generally set off around noon, if it is late, you may encounter the embarrassment of going down the mountain to the suburbs and not being able to find the car back to the city.

The most free line is to climb the mountain from the Red Gate, if you don't want to climb the mountain, you can take a car from Tianwai Village to go up the mountain, about 20 minutes to Zhongtianmen, the ticket is 18 yuan. If you don't want to climb the mountain when you get to Zhongtianmen, then you can also take the cable car up the mountain, but the cable car hasn't been taken for a long time, and I don't know how much it is now. In this case, you can go to Bixia Temple.

You need a ticket to burn incense at Bixia Temple, and this is the only place that requires a ticket to burn incense, because the boss is always treated differently inside. Admission is 5 yuan. Of course, you need to buy incense to burn incense, I just recently went to burn incense, it is indeed very expensive to ask for incense from the Bixia Temple, but it is said that it is more spiritual to ask for incense from there, but I believe that sincerity is spiritual, so I bought it from Tianjie, a family portrait bought for 8 yuan, a very thick kind, three together, but then when I went to the "fire pool" to burn incense, it took a lot of effort to light the incense and it took a long time, it was difficult to order, the wind was strong, and the eyes were smoked with tears, but I think this heart is more sincere.

Of course, it's no problem to watch the sunrise, but it depends on luck, the luck of the recent trip is not good, and I climbed at night, but I didn't see the sunrise the next day. When we climbed to Zhongtianmen, the weather was relatively cold, but it was okay to wear this autumn clothes, but it was not good when we reached the middle of the eighteen plates, and the wind was very strong, so we couldn't wear those again, so we immediately decided to rent a military coat. Renting a military coat costs 10 yuan per piece, and we bargain with him for 5 yuan per piece, but we ask for a deposit of 200 yuan, and we ask for four pieces, and then give the bill, you must take the bill!

If you can't see the sunrise, it's also very beautiful to see a sea of clouds, but we didn't see anything that day, but I didn't feel sorry, but I left a thought, leaving a reason to climb the mountain again in the future, hehe. If you can't see the sunrise and there are more clouds, it's best not to rush down the mountain, etc., and wait for the sun to come out to form a sea of clouds.

From the red gate, students buy half tickets for 50 yuan, but they need their student ID.

By the way, not all the food on the mountain is very expensive, but it is best to bring your own dry food, don't bring too much, enough to eat, don't bring too much water, this time we brought a lot of food and drink, but only half of what we ate, and the rest were brought down. After watching the sunrise (which we didn't see), we asked for some porridge from a restaurant in Paradise Street, and then sat down and ate what we brought ourselves, and the owner didn't say anything. I also asked for a few big fritters, delicious, one yuan a piece, I ate one and then asked for another, maybe I was hungry at the time, I ate that fritters were very delicious, hehe.

There are 4 routes to choose from to climb Mount Tai:

Taohuayu hiking route (the most convenient).

Taohuayu is about 16 kilometers away from the city of Tai'an at the southern foot of Mount Tai, near the 104 National Highway and the Beijing-Shanghai (Beijing-Fuzhou) Expressway connecting Tai'an and Jinan, which is the most convenient and time-saving tour route for self-driving and car tourists. In addition, the Taohuayu mountaineering line is relatively gentle and stretched, there is no stone step winding road, and there is a highway leading from the mountain pass to the three-forked stream cableway station halfway up the mountainside.

This hiking trail has few attractions and is not an ideal walking route. The first half of the journey is connected by road, and the second half of the journey is connected by a ropeway to the top of the mountain, where visitors with poor physical strength can choose to take a vehicle up the mountain.

The Red Gate Pandao hiking trail (the most classic).

The most classic mountaineering line, that is, the Red Gate Line, is the mountaineering royal road of the emperors of the previous dynasties, located in the central axis of Mount Tai Qianshan, the Red Gate, the Zhongtianmen, and the South Tianmen line. This scenic spot is majestic and steep, the scenery is magnificent, but the mountain is high and the road is steep, the climb is more difficult, and you can go straight to the top of the mountain through 6666 steps. The climb is at a moderate pace, and the whole journey takes 4 hours.

It is known for its seclusion. Temples, stone carvings, ancient trees, and many legends along the way are the essence of Mount Tai, and the physical exertion of mountaineering is great on this road. However, if you are physically exhausted halfway, you can transfer to the cableway to reach Daiding after arriving at Zhongtianmen.

However, it is already halfway here, so it is recommended that you hold on a little longer and climb eighteen plates.

Tianwai Village car hiking route (the most trouble-free).

Tiandi Square Dengding Line (Taishan West Road) is located in the west of Mount Tai Qianshan, Tiandi Square, Zhongtianmen and South Tianmen Line. This scenic spot is famous for its openness. There is a winding mountain road from the front section of Tiandi Square to Zhongtianmen, and there is a high mountain cableway from Zhongtianmen to Nantianmen in the back section, do not take half a step of mountain road, take the car to transfer to the cableway, and easily reach the top of Mount Tai.

It is arguably the most leisurely hiking route. But at the same time, this route is also the most expensive route.

Sky Candle Peak hiking route (the most quaint and natural).

The Tianzhufeng Mountaineering Line is located at the eastern foot of Taishan Mountain, which is far away from the traffic arteries and has a strong mountain atmosphere. The steepness of the mountain is slightly inferior to the red gate mountaineering road of the front mountain, it is the scenic spot with the lowest degree of artificial development in Mount Tai, primitive and simple, the natural features are kept intact, it is famous for the strange pine, the strange stone, it is the place where Mount Tai "is unique".

Tianzhu Peak-Houshiwu route is handsome, turquoise and colorful, and the natural beauty is not inferior to Zhangjiajie, which is the best route for adventure travel and self-guided travel. However, because the tourist service facilities along the way are slightly less complete than the other three summit roads of Mount Tai, you need to bring your own food and drinking water to go up the mountain.

Note: The best time to visit Mount Tai is in summer, visiting Mount Tai is best from April to November, and watching the sunrise is best in autumn (September to early November).

The top of Mount Tai needs to be prepared with warm clothes all year round, bring a coat in spring and summer, wear a down jacket in autumn and winter, and there are military coats for rent on the mountain, in order to reduce the burden of mountaineering, it is recommended not to bring too thick clothes.
