Is it a good thing or a bad thing to donate to rebuild Buddhist temples?

Donating money to repair the temple is a great merit, and of course a good thing.

According to the Jizo Bodhisattva Sutra

In the world to come, there will be kings, up to Brahmins.

and so on, when encountering the first pagoda temple, or to the sutra statue, it is destroyed and broken, but it can be repaired. It is the king and others, or they run it themselves, or persuade others, or even hundreds of thousands of people to give alms. It is a king, etc., and it is often the body of a wheel king in a hundred thousand lives.

If he is a giver with others, he will often be a little king in a hundred thousand lives. It can be sent back to the centripetal in front of the tower temple. If the king and all the people become Buddhas, the rewards will be immeasurable.

In the next life, there will be kings, brahmins, etc., who will encounter pagoda temples, or Buddha images, and even Bodhisattvas who have heard of the Buddha statues, and will make offerings to themselves. It is the king and so on, who deserve to be released as the emperor of the three calamities, and receive the joy of victory. If you can give benefits in this way and dedicate yourself to the Dharma realm, you will be a great king, etc., and in the ten eons, you will always be the great Brahma king.

Of course, it is a good thing, and the merit is immeasurable.

There is no good or bad fix in everything, and it is convenient in people's hearts. I wish you good luck at six o'clock!

There is no obligation to donate money. If you are a person with good intentions, you might as well marry with you. Also, keep the following three points in mind:

1. Chinese monks are not allowed to go out to make a relationship. This was unanimously adopted by the Buddhist circles throughout the country and announced by the Buddhist Association of China. At the same time, in 1983, the Chinese Buddhist Association also issued a document prohibiting monks from burning scars on their heads.

2. On the road, anyone who takes the initiative to ask you for money and things; fortune tellers; Look at Feng Shui; those who claim to be the masters of the Living Buddha; Mu has living expenses or travel expenses to beg for money; door-to-door fate; those who send amulets; Selling all kinds of consecration objects; falsely claiming that the temple has made merit to raise donations or raise funds to build the temple; Holding the book of fortune and related certificates, he claimed to be a monk or layman somewhere, and walked the streets and alleys to raise ...... along the wayAnd so on, they are all fake and shoddy products! - As for the amulet given to you, see if there is a statue of Buddha or Bodhisattva on it, and if there is, don't throw it away (because people are fake, but Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are real), which will detract from our good fortune, and if it is troublesome, burn it with fire while reciting Amitabha.

3. True monks only operate in monasteries; The monastery does not charge entrance fees, does not burn high incense, does not do ** rituals, helps you but never talks about money, that is to say, every offering you give him is your willingness. That's the criterion for identification. Of course, there is a more advanced method, you take the lengyan mantra in your hand and ask him to recite it, and if you can't recite it, it is fake (because the lengyan mantra is compulsory for the daily morning class).

You are not obligated to donate money, but it is a great merit to repair the temple! Amitabha!

Jizo Bodhisattva Sutra

Tang Yu Khotan Sanzang Shamen Shicha Nantuo translation.

Again, Jizo, if in the future life, there are good men and good women, and they will encounter pagoda temples and Mahayana scriptures. The newlywed, give alms, salute and admire, and respectfully clasp their palms. If there is a deceased, or a ruined person, repair the camp, or start alone, or persuade many people to work together.

If he is an equal generation, in his thirty lives, he is often a small king. The people of Tanyue are often the king of wheels, and they also educate the little kings with good laws.

Again, Jizo, in the future life, if there are good men and good women who plant good roots in the Dharma, or make offerings, or repair pagodas and temples, or pretend to be scriptures, or even a dime and a dust, a sand and a mistle, if it is a good deed, but it can return to the Dharma realm, it is a human merit, and in a hundred thousand lives, it will be a wonderful happiness. If you return to your own family members, or your own interests, if this is the result, that is, three lives will be happy, and you will get ten thousand rewards if you give up one. That's why Jizo, giving karma, that's how it is. ”

There are 13 types of places that need to be donated to Buddhist temples:

1. Donor the slag eggplant glazed tile meritor: a solemn holy place for the Buddha to shelter from the wind and rain. Fang Ming is illuminated by the light of the Buddha, and in the future, the fruit will be rewarded with a wide field house, a healthy body, and peace and happiness.

2. Those who donate the merit of the railing pillar: protect the Buddha hall and ensure the safety of the public, and their great merit must have great power, the result of the potential, the security and defense of the country, the vast supernatural powers, and the gods protect everything as expected.

3. Those who donate merit to the gate in front of the hall: This gate leads to the passage of the Buddha's holy land, and the donor is blessed by the Buddha, illuminated by the light, admired by all the people, and blessed with immeasurable blessings.

4. Those who donate eaves pillars: The main hall is the holy land of the three treasures, and the eaves pillars around it are like guarding the donors, and the donors will have achievements.

5. Those who donate the merits of the pillars: great merit will also become a great tool, become a pillar of the country, be admired by all the people, and have a bright future.

6. Those who donate the merits of the front door of the Great Bicha Palace: Liang Da donated the good fortune of the front gate of the palace, and the same good fortune.

7. Those who donate the merits of the bucket arch: the bucket arch is supported on the shelf, and the lack is empty, and the hall has no roof. The donor is the auxiliary material, the literary and opera stars are reflected, and the martial arts and literature are all great tools and get ahead.

8. Those who donate the merits of the pillars: not only have the blessing of donating the pillars, but also be close to the Buddha, receive the light of the Buddha for a long time, and feel the Buddha's grace.

9. Those who donate the merit of the lotus seat: the lotus represents purity and holiness, and the lotus seat is used to support the Buddha's body.

10. Those who donate the merits of the bluestone dragon pillar in front of the palace: the heirs of Jackie Chan, the prosperity of the century, the left and right, the joy of humanity, the great achievement, and the blessings are immeasurable.

11. Those who donate the merits of the Buddha platform: The Buddha platform is used to support the Buddha and Bodhisattva. Family harmony, abundant wealth, vertical and horizontal, healthy and long-lived, and great blessings.

12. The main gate step and the merit of the Yulu color painting: The Yulu painting color is a symbol of dignity, the symbol of the temple, the nine dragons are coiled, only the ancient temples and palaces can be had, the nine dragons are coiled lifelike, and the tiger is vigorous. Visitors and pilgrims climb the stairs, and the noble heart arises spontaneously.

This meritorious person is honored from generation to generation, the auspicious dragon protects the body, the lord of the world rises and falls, turns evil into auspiciousness, is wise in a lifetime, and will be immortal.

13. Those who donate gold Buddha statues to make merits: can eliminate the karma of the previous life, and often get the close protection of the Buddha and Bodhisattva in this life. Whether in business or politics, you have to be helped by nobles, and it will be smooth sailing, and you will be good looking and rich in the next life.

Donations to monasteries are also called almsgiving or offerings.

Generosity is one of the six degrees and the first of the six degrees. The six perfections are the six main contents of the Mahayana path, the right path of the bodhisattva, the general practice of taking in all the bodhisattva paths, the path of self-cultivation, the double cultivation of blessings and wisdom, and the sufficiency of the three learnings, as well as the cause and effect of enlightenment. Today, I will only try to give the first of the six degrees**.

Offering is also for offering, for almsgiving, for provisioning, for offering. It means offering food, clothing (now including possessions), etc., to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, the Three Jewels, teachers, parents, the deceased, etc. At first, the offering was mainly physical behavior and financial offerings, and later it also included purely spiritual offerings, so there were identity offerings and heart offerings.

According to the posthumous scriptures, food, clothing, decoctions, and belongings are status offerings; Non-congratulatory offerings, insatiable wholesome offerings, and equally distracted offerings are sub-heart offerings.
