How to convert an existing line file in MapGIS to a zone file

1. First open MAGGIS, [Graphics Processing] - [Input], and press [OK] in turn.

2. Open the line file and be in the state. Right-click, select Merge Options, and then click Save As.

3. Enter the file name, click [Save], [OK].

4. If the merge is successful, a pop-up window will be [Merge File Successful], click [OK] [Exit].

5. Only open the merged line, click [Settings] - [Workspace Information] to see the number of line elements in it.

6. Select the file you want to convert, click OK, and you can convert.

You probably mean topological zones.

First of all, the zone is made up of closed arcs. Then we can simply convert the existing closed line into an arc.

Step 1: Click the Clear Line Overlapping Coordinates and Self-Intersect command under the "Other" menu.

Step 2: Click the "Auto Cut Line" command under the "Other" menu;

Step 6: Click the "Line to Arc" command under the "Other" menu, and the system will automatically generate a "Zone 1 File", name it and click the "Save" button.

Step 8: Click the "Zone Topology Error Check" command under the "Other" menu, if there are topology errors, you also need to modify them repeatedly, Step 9: Click the "Topology Reconstruction" command under the "Other" menu, the system will automatically fill each closed area with different colors to form different zones;

Make the line file to be converted into a region (if it is multi-layered, press Ctrl to select blue and merge, use the merged file) in the state--Other--Auto Cut Line--Check--Line Topology Error Check (This step is to check whether your line file is closed, whether it can be zoned, check whether the boundaries you want to zone are all closed, if there is an error, modify, do not participate in the zone do not need to change) After the change--Other--Line to arc segment (pop-up dialog box to save,..)wp file, save, this file is the area file you want to be) when you're done -- add the one you just generated in the right area. wp file and make it in the state --other -topology rebuild.
