Method 1 of 4:
Make canned candles.
Pick the wax. There are many types of waxes available online, paraffin, beeswax and citronella. And, of course, some scented waxes. Pick what you need and buy as much as you want.
Heat the wax. Use a double-layer steamer to heat it to the point where it can be poured. The temperature needs to reach 82-88 and can be measured with a thermometer. You can also add a few drops of essential oil if you wish.
Cut the wick. Use a piece of candle wick that has been labeled (with a metal base) and glue it to the bottom of the jar. The wick should be long enough to reveal the head.
Wrap a pen or pencil around the top of the wick and place the pen horizontally on the jar so that the wick is perpendicular to the bottom of the jar.
Heat the jar. To prevent bubbles when the wax is poured, the jar needs to be preheated. You can put the jar in the microwave, keep the temperature at that, and preheat it for a few minutes.
Pour the wax. Keeping the top wick still, slowly pour the melted wax into it. Avoid splashing on the sides or pouring too quickly so that no bubbles are formed. Pour 3 4 in this pouring way and you're good to go.
Wait, keep pouring. Wait a few hours until the wax poured in has set. At this point, there may be a groove in the upper part of the wax, continue to pour the remaining 1 4 into it.
Come to an end. When the wax is set, you can remove the pencil and cut the wick to the right height. You can light candles. [1]
Method 2 of 4:
Make a pillar candle.
Pick the wax. Pillar candles are the most common wax and therefore also require many waxes. Consider these: Do you want colored candles? What about the aroma? Beeswax, paraffin, citronella or other varieties of wax? Think about all of this before choosing.
Melt the wax. Use a double-layer steamer to melt the wax. If you don't have a double-layer steamer, you can put the glass bowl in boiling water, and of course the wax should be put in the bowl. When the wax reaches 82-88, it is ready to pour.
Make molds. Candlesticks in the shape of bars need to be stenciled first. It is very convenient to buy a template, because it is often impossible to form a stable structure because the seams are not tight. You can also use a rubber strap (it has to be tight!). Wood chips are often used as box-mounted formwork.
Put the wick. Bar candles are usually tall, so the wick should be a little longer. Prepare a labeled wick for the candle and make sure it sticks to the bottom of the mold. Roll a pencil or pen on the other end and place it horizontally on top of the mold so that the wick does not slip into the wax.
Pour the wax. Gently pour the wax down from the top of the mold, not too quickly. Leave 1 4 to pour later, which is good for shaping.
Wait, pour again. When the wax has solidified, grooves will form in the middle. At this point, heat the remaining wax and continue to pour, covering the grooves.
Remove the mold. Wait 2-4 hours for the candles to set. Remove the wick from the pencil and remove the mold from the outside of the candle. Trim the wicks from many places and enjoy the new candles! [2]

How to make candles by hand:
1. Trim the beeswax paper. Generally speaking, beeswax paper is very large, so it is not suitable for candles. Beeswax paper can be cut to a suitable size, such as 10 cm x 40 cm.
2. Put the wick in. Spread the beeswax paper flat onto the table. Place the wick against one side of the beeswax paper, leaving one end at least centimeter long and the other end flush with the beeswax paper.
3. Roll it up. Start on the side with the wick and roll inward. In one direction, avoid uneven bottoms or spirals at the bottom of the candle. Apply the right amount of pressure to make the beeswax paper roll tightly.
4. Done. When you are about to finish rolling, use your fingers to hold the beeswax paper together. Rub the candle together with both hands, the temperature of ** can soften the beeswax and help shape it. Place the new candle on the candle holder.

Make handmade candles as follows:
Materials: beeswax, candle wicks, viscose, aromatic essential oils, candle flasks, thermometers, small wooden sticks, cans, metal cans, etc.
Operation steps: 1. Roll the suffocating beeswax into small pieces, which is easier to melt. Place the beeswax pieces into a candle flask, then into a container of water, and heat the water to form a double melting device.
Since it is very difficult to clean a container that has melted candles, it is best to choose a container that specializes in melting candles, so that you don't have to worry about how to clean it every time. Put a thermometer in the flask and turn off the heat when the temperature reaches 145 degrees, do not let the temperature exceed 175 degrees. When it's time to melt, you can prepare the container for the candles.
2. There are many different types of containers that can be used to make candles, and lubricated candles will form different shapes with the shape of the container. Here, the author chose a cute tart tray as a container. The first step in preparing the container is to clean the container, then glue the candle wick to the bottom of the container, wrap the remaining wick around a small wooden stick, and then prop it up with two cups as shown in the picture.
Lay a sheet of wax paper underneath the prepared container and place it on a board that is not afraid of burning (a cutting board can be used).
3. When the candle melts, carefully pour it into the container you have prepared, and be sure not to burn yourself. Don't overfill it, leaving some space at the top will look better. If you're using a larger container, the poured candle will shrink a little as it cools, so it's a good idea to leave the remaining candle blocks empty so that you can melt some more to fill it up at the end.
Finally, the candle is thoroughly cooled, left overnight, and then the excess wick is cut off. And that's it!
