How Che Guevara died

Che Guevara was born in Argentina on June 14, 1928.

In October 1967 in La Iguera, Bolivia, one of the Guevara guerrillas deserted to the Bolivian special forces.

The camp of the Guevara partisans was revealed. On 8 October, when Guevara was leading a patrol near Rajgra, special forces surrounded the camp and captured him. He surrendered after being injured in his leg.

After being imprisoned overnight in a dilapidated school building, Guevara was shot dead the next afternoon by a Bolivian army sergeant who had drawn a short straw with his hands tied to a board. Some believe that the sergeant shot Guevara in the face and throat.

It is widely accepted that he shot Guevara in both legs to make his face intact in order to prove his identity, and pretended to be combat trauma to conceal that he had been shot. He was executed by a sergeant of the ** army (who later developed cataracts in Cuba in 2007 through the medical welfare system).

When Guevara arrived in Bolivia, he was arrested and executed by the local army, assisted by the **Intelligence Service.

In 1966, after half a year of recuperation, Che Guevara led dozens of men to Bolivia. The isolated guerrillas were torn between the Bolivian Army and the US Intelligence Agency, and the shortcomings of their fighting ideology were gradually exposed. Che Guevara advocated relying on the leading role of elite forces in battle, but he woefully lacked a mass base.

Although the guerrillas had repeatedly escaped the encirclement and interception of the enemy forces by virtue of their rich command experience, as the battle deepened, the effective strength of the troops was sharply reduced, and the reserve force was obviously insufficient. On October 8, 1967, the Bolivian ** Army dispatched 1,800 soldiers to hunt down Che Guevara and his six remaining comrades.

However, due to a lack of mastery of special circumstances, his military strategy failed to play its due role. The guerrillas were besieged in one place and called"Fig tree"On the northern ridge, Che Guevara was captured by enemy forces due to a wound in his right arm and asthma**.

After Che Guevara was captured, the Bolivian military and a member of the U.S. intelligence service, Rodriguez, immediately interrogated, but Che Guevara refused to give any reply. At the same time, news of his capture immediately reached La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, and Darendos summoned army generals and members of the U.S. intelligence service to convene an emergency meeting to discuss how to punish him"Radical communists"。And the final verdict is:

Che Guevara must not be allowed to stand trial alive. They knew that Che Guevara had great influence and charisma, and that as long as he was alive, he would most likely continue to provoke revolutionary struggles in South America and around the world. Therefore, Bolivia** decided to put him to death immediately in order to prevent future troubles.

At about 4 p.m. on 9 October, exactly 24 hours after Che Guevara was captured, a non-commissioned officer entered his cell and began firing at his hands and feet, expecting to only seriously injure him and then leave him dead. However, due to the fatal injuries of two of them, Che Guevara died instantly. It was later confirmed that Che Guevara had been shot nine times at the time.
