What does attached database mean? How do I attach a database?

The attached database is put. LOF's database file is attached to SQL Server.

The following describes how to attach a database

1. First of all, turn on your computer and click "All Programs" in the start menu bar in the bottom left corner as below screenshot shown.

2. Secondly, after completing the above steps, click in the pop-up window to open Enterprise Manager in Microsoft SQL Server as shown in the image below.

3. Then, after completing the above steps, right-click "Databases" in the pop-up window and select the additional database in all tasks as shown in the following figure.

4. Then, after completing the above steps, click in the pop-up window to open the three dots in front of "Verification" as shown in the image below.

5. Finally, after completing the above steps, select the database you want to add, as shown in the following figure. In this way, the problem is solved.

sqlserver or sqlservermanagementstudio has additional database functionality in transact-sql. Operators can use this feature to copy, move, or upgrade SQL Server databases. When attaching a database, all data files (MDF files and LDF files) must be available.

It is not recommended to use detached and attach for Backup and Restore. There are no transaction log backups, and files can be accidentally deleted. When you upgrade a database using an additional method, it becomes available immediately and is automatically upgraded.

If the database has full-text indexing, the upgrade process imports, resets, or regenerates them, depending on the settings of the full-text upgrade option server properties.

Addition: It is to establish the table, storage process and data records in the database at one time, that is to say, what is the original idea of your database, and what is it after attaching. To put it simply, it is to copy all the contents of the original database to the new data database.

Import: The premise is that the table structure has been created in the database, and then the records are imported into the current database from the database that has the same table structure. To put it simply, the original database structure is established in the new database first, and then the data records of the original database (such as order records) are imported into the new database.

1. Open the sqlserver database and connect to it.

2. Then find the target database, right-click and click "Properties".

3. Select the "File" tab on the left side of the pop-up property window. Then you can see the corresponding content in the form on the right: the logical name is the file name of the data file and the log file, and the path is the location of the envy cherry.
