The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, the 23rd Winter Olympic Games, was held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on February 9 and 25, 2018. This is the first time in South Korea's history that it has hosted the Winter Olympics. The Pyeongchang Olympics will feature 15 events and 102 events.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and most of the snow sports will be held in Pyeongchang-gun, while all ice sports will be held in Gangneung-ju and alpine downhill skiing competitions will be held in Jeongseon-gun. The PyeongChang Organising Committee has finalized the selection of 2,922 athletes from 92 countries and regions to compete in the Winter Olympics. Among them, there are 1,680 male players and 1,242 female players.
