Introduction: Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (Southwestern University of Finance and Economics), located in Chengdu, a national historical and cultural city known as the land of abundance, directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, listed in the "211 Project", selected into the "2011 Plan", "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform", is a national key university with economics and management as the main body and finance as the focus. It is also a pilot university for the reform of the national education system and is known as the "Chinese financial talent pool".

Southwestern University of Finance and Economics began in 1925 as Guanghua University in Shanghai. On June 3, 1925, in the midst of the anti-imperialist patriotic anger of the "May Day", the patriotic teachers and students of St. John's University in Shanghai broke away from the university and supported Mr. Zhang Shouyong to found Guanghua University. The name of the school is taken from the "Sun and Moon Glory, Dan Fu Danxi" ("Qingyun Song"), which symbolizes the revolutionary spirit of reviving China and resisting imperialist slaughter and enslavement.

In 1938, Guanghua University moved from Shanghai to Chengdu during the Anti-Japanese War, and the Chengdu Branch of Guanghua University was established. In 1946, it was renamed as the private Sung Hwa University. In 1952, the private Chenghua University was changed to a public university, and some colleges or departments were transferred to form the Sichuan University of Finance and Economics.

In 1960, it was divided into Sichuan University of Finance and Economics and Sichuan Institute of Science and Technology, and in 1961, it was merged and renamed Chengdu University. In 1978, it was restored to Sichuan University of Finance and Economics. In 1979, Sichuan Province was transferred to the People's Bank of China.

In 1985, it was renamed Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.

In the course of the school's operation, masters such as Hu Shi, Zhou Youguang, Qian Zhongshu, Xu Zhimo, Ye Shengtao, Xie Lin, and Chen Baoyin have written and spoken here; Economists such as Peng Dixian, Li Xiaotong, Mei Yuanmou, Liu Hongkang, Yang Youzhi, Tang Xianglong, Wang Shuyun, Liu Shibai, and Zeng Kanglin preached and taught here.

As of April 2015, the school has two campuses in Guanghua and Liulin, with a jurisdiction of more than 2,300 acres; There are more than 22,600 full-time students; It offers 33 undergraduate majors and 27 colleges (centers and departments); It has more than 1,380 full-time teachers.
