List of the Chinese delegation to the 26th Universiade

Yang Liguo, Executive Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of the 8th National Universiade, Minister of the Competition Department, and Secretary-General of the Joint Secretariat of the Chinese University Sports Association, announced the list of delegations that won the top 10 teams in the total score of the Universiade, which are: Guangdong Province, Tianjin City, Jiangsu Province, Shanghai City, Beijing Municipality, Hubei Province, Liaoning Province, Shaanxi Province, Shandong Province, and Hunan Province.

Characteristics of the Chengdu Universiade

The Chengdu Universiade is the third time that Chinese mainland has hosted the Universiade after the 2001 Beijing Universiade and the 2011 Shenzhen Universiade, and the Universiade was originally scheduled to be held in August this year. The event has a total of 18 competitions such as archery, basketball, volleyball, etc., and 49 competition training venues, including 13 new venues and 36 renovated venues.

The theme of the Universiade is characterized by environmental protection, and the construction is based on the principles of green, thrift and necessity, and the Chengdu Universiade has set up a total of 49 competition and training venues, distributed in 15 districts of Chengdu, including 13 new venues, as well as 36 renovation and upgrading venues such as Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium and West China Campus Gymnasium of Sichuan University. All venues will be completed by the end of April 2021.

1, Zhang Yiman.

Zhang Yiman, female, born on January 15, 1997, is a Chinese badminton player. On September 15, 2019, Zhang Yiman won the women's singles championship of the Vietnam Open Badminton Championships; On October 26, 2019, she won the women's singles badminton event at the Military World Games; On December 18, 2021, she won the bronze medal in women's singles at the 2021 Badminton World Championships; On February 5, 2023, Zhang Yiman won the Super 300 championship for the first time.

2, Dong Tianyao.

In 2015, he won the title of "Athlete", and in 2018, he won the title of "International Spring Potato Athlete"; In 2021, he won the Sudirman Cup World Badminton Mixed Team Championship; On December 19, 2021, he won the men's doubles runner-up at the Badminton World Championships.

5, Zhou Haodong.

Zhou Haodong, male, born on February 20, 1998 in Ningbo, Zhejiang, is a Chinese badminton player and an international-level athlete. On December 10, 2018, Zhou Haodong won the Most Promising Athlete Award; On May 26, 2019, he won the 2019 Sudirman Cup World Badminton Mixed Team Championship with his teammates; On September 17, 2021, Zhou Haodong and Wang Chang won the badminton men's doubles championship of the 14th National Games, and on October 3, Zhou Haodong won the Sudirman Cup World Badminton Mixed Team Championships.
