    Australia's energy consumption requirements include both energy consumption stickers and minimum energy consumption standards (MEPS).

    All of the following electronic products sold in Australia are mandatory to be sold with an energy consumption sticker:

    Refrigerator and ice machine.

    Washer. Dryer.

    Dishwasher. Air conditioning (mandatory for single-phase, voluntary for three-phase).

    The following products are also subject to regulatory control on the basis of the Minimum Energy Consumption Standards (MEPS) – i.e. their minimum energy consumption levels are specified:

    Refrigerators and ice machines (effective October 1, 1999, revised January 1, 2005).

    Main pressure storage electric water heater (effective from 1 October 1999).

    Small main pressure storage type electric water heater (<80L) and low pressure heat exchanger type (effective October 1, 2005) (refer to the limits and test methods in AGO).

    Three-phase motor (kW to <185kW) (effective October 1, 2001, revised April 2006).

    Single-phase air-conditioning (effective from 1 October 2004, revised on 1 April 2006, 2007 and 2008 respectively).

    Three-phase air conditioner with a cooling power of 65 kW (effective from October 1, 2001, revised on October 1, 2007).

    Straight tube fluorescent lamp ballast (from 1 March 2003).Note that in addition to MEPS, ballasts also need to be labeled with an Efficiency Index (EEI).

    Straight tube fluorescent lamps - including 550 mm to 1500 mm with a lighting power greater than 16 watts (effective October 1, 2004).

    Distribution transformers 11 kV and 22 kV are rated from 10 kA to megavolt amperes (effective October 1, 2004).

    Commercial Refrigerated Cabinets (Self-contained & RC System) (Effective from 1 October 2004).

    Although the following products are not currently included in the mandatory management catalog, they will also have to comply with energy consumption regulations and obtain certification in the near future, and some of them have already been implemented.

    External power supply (effective from October 1, 2008);

    set-top box (effective from October 1, 2008);

    hot and cold water dispensers;

    Vending machine;

    commercial ice machines;

    Lamp series; The above information comes from the Internet.

    The Energy Rating Label is a comparative label that consists of a rectangular base and a semicircle at the top of the base, which is in the shape of a "dial" to identify the star rating. The dial semicircle is marked with six stars, arranged in a clockwise direction along the dial, with more stars indicating higher energy efficiency and lower operating costs. The middle of the base is numerically identified with the appliance's assessed annual (or hourly) electricity consumption (washing machine water consumption) under "normal" service conditions, i.e. CEC.

    MEPS test and login registration.

    The product must first be tested in the laboratory, meet the relevant standards and obtain a test report, and submit a MEPS login application to the Australian ** agency (such as Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria) with a valid test report. MEPS has no requirements for testing laboratories, and the reports issued by laboratories with ISO IEC17025 are acceptable.

    The validity period of the authorization letter issued by MEPS is 5 years, unless there is a revision or change in the standard on which the test is based, and the validity of the authorization letter may change depending on the situation.
