"Shuowen Jiezi", "Shiben", and "Huainanzi" all record that Cangjie was the historian of the Yellow Emperor's period of character making, and saw that the footprints of birds and beasts were inspired, divided into different categories, collected, sorted out and used, and played an important role in the process of creating Chinese characters, and was respected as the "saint of word creation".

According to the records of "Hetu Jade Edition" and "Zen Tongji", Cangjie once established himself as an emperor, called Cangdi, and was the leader of a tribe in ancient times. During the reign of Cangjie, he once worshipped Luo Shu in the water of Luo.

Cangjie is also the god of Taoist Chinese characters. According to historical records, Cangjie has two pupils and four eyes, born with Ruide, observing the movement trend of the stars, the footprints of birds and beasts, and creating words according to its image, eliminating the ugliness of the knotted rope at that time, and creating the foundation of civilization, so it is respected as "Cangjie, the ancestor of the stupid Wenzu".

Historical records. This prehistoric legendary figure has never been mentioned in the classics of our country before the ancient Warring States period. The earliest mention of Cangjie was Xun Qing during the Warring States Period.

Later, it gradually developed into legends such as Cangjie was the "historian of the Yellow Emperor". The Yellow Emperor was one of the leaders of the tribal alliance in the later period of primitive society, and there was no state apparatus at that time.

For a long time after that, hieroglyphs became more and more abstract in use, leading to the formal creation of oracle bone scripts!

In the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period more than 2,500 years ago, Cangjie made characters and said that it was already a common sense in the society at that time. In modern times, through the study of unearthed documents and the cross-examination of different materials, the credibility of China's ancient historical records is quite high.

For example, in the early years of the Western Jin Dynasty, the chronicle of the ancient history of the Wei Dynasty - the Wei history book "Bamboo Book Chronicle" was recorded in the ancient history of the Wei Dynasty - the historical book "Bamboo Book Chronicle" of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, and many records of the historical facts of the Shang and Zhou dynasties are consistent with the oracle bone inscriptions and Jin inscriptions.

This shows that the creation of oracle bones should be a much older thing.

Cangjie lived in an age of about 4,5600 years ago, and from the previous introduction, it can be seen that Cangjie is a kind of conscious creative activity with a dependent origin ("the industry is complicated, and the pseudo-germination is born"), a theoretical guiding principle ("the division of reason can be different"), and a realization of the result ("a hundred works to be, ten thousand products to observe"). In contrast to the oracle bone inscription, it is reasonable to say that the Chinese characters were created by Cangjie, which is historically reasonable.

In fact, this is just a legend, and Chinese, as a pictographic and base script, must have evolved step by step from the initial pictorial chronicle --- the simplified ** chronicle --- symbolic chronicle --- characters.
