Sometimes we have to flexibly change the spacing between the word underline and the text, the underline is a format often used in our word and excel documents, which can play a role in highlighting the effect of some content. The default underline is very close to the bottom edge of the text, and when the line spacing is slightly larger, this underline effect is very ugly. After research and exploration, I found a way to widen the distance between the underline and the bottom of the text, and I am now dedicated to you.
Start by underlining the text as you normally would. Select the text, click the "underline" button on the formatting toolbar to add an underline, and enter a space before and at the end of the text, so that you will find that the underline will also be automatically extended to the space. Now select the underline text except for the blanks, then open the "Font" command under the "Format" menu, switch the open window to the "Character Spacing" tab, set the "Position" to "Promote", then modify the point size later, click "OK" and exit, you will find that the distance between the underline and the text has become larger.
If you are not satisfied with the distance between them, you just need to return and re-modify the increased point size. After the operation, we only need to delete any of the first and last spaces added, then select the space that remains, open the "Font" command of the "Format" menu again, set the "spacing" to "kerning" in the "character spacing", and set a point size, so that the space clogging can be hidden.
