Serbian coach Sasha Djordjevic will serve as the head coach of the Chinese men's basketball team. It can be said that the Serbian head coach is more inclined to team-based operations, which is still very suitable for the Chinese men's basketball team, but I don't know what role Yang Shuai can show in the Chinese men's basketball team.
Personal achievementsSasha Djordjevic is 55 years old and has a 21-year playing career and has played for the Yugoslav men's basketball team. After announcing his retirement in 2005, he began his coaching career. From 2013 to 2019, Sasha Djordjevic was the head coach of Serbia, with his best result being a silver medal at the 16 Olympic Games.
In addition to this, he has also coached European clubs for many years, and has led Greece's Panathinaikos to a 25-1 record. He led Bayern Munich to 23 wins and 2 losses, becoming the runner-up in the Bundesliga, and led the Virtus club to win the Serie A title.
The final roster of 2012 men's basketball players is yet to be released. At present, there are: Yi Jianlian, Zhou Peng, Wang Shipeng, Zhu Fangyu, Chen Jianghua, Su Wei, Wang Zhizhi, Zhang Bo, Han Dejun, Zhang Zhaoxu, Ding Jinhui, Yi Li, Wang Zhelin, Liu Wei, Sun Yue, Guo Allen, Zhai Xiaochuan. >>>More
The strongest period of the Chinese men's basketball team was the 96 Olympic Games, when the 19-year-old Wang Zhizhi was nominally a substitute center, but he was a key figure in the historical breakthrough that year, and won a "double-double" of points, rebounds and 5 blocks in a game for the first time in the Olympic Games! Although the Chinese men's basketball team led by Yao was also eighth in the Olympic Games, it was only 1 point narrowly defeated the Serbian and Montenegro team (not the strong Yugoslav team before) in 04 years, and the 08 Beijing Olympics still failed to make a breakthrough in the case of the favorable time and place in the homeland (there was hope for a breakthrough, but Yao was too heavy and Wang was abandoned, resulting in the final loss of the game against Spain where Yao replaced the king).
