The story of the crown.
Wang Mian's family was very poor when he was a child, and his mother asked him to herd cattle for the landlord.
There is a printing school in the township, and when Wang Mian heard the sound of Lang Lang reading, he was very envious. He often tied the cow to the tree, quietly went into the school to listen to the teacher's lectures, and sometimes borrowed books from the teacher to read. Once, when he came out of the school, the cow was gone.
When his mother heard that he had lost the landlord's ox, she was so angry and frightened that she took up the latch and was about to beat him. The crown fled in fright and hid in a temple for the night. At night, he sat on the Buddha's lap and read again by the lantern hanging in front of the Buddha's statue.
Wang Mian painted lotus In the Ming Dynasty, there was a great painter named Wang Mian, who was the best at painting lotus flowers, and many people worked hard to get his lotus paintings, and came from far away.
Although Wang Mian was very famous, he was very poor when he was a child, and he had to herd cattle for others during the day and self-study at night.
One day, when Wang Mian was grazing cattle by the lake, there was a sudden burst of rain, and after a while the rain stopped, but the lotus flowers and lotus leaves in the lake.
But it was washed very clean by the rain. Wang Mian liked it very much, so he wanted to draw it, so he quickly used the little pocket money on his body to buy paper and pens to start painting. At first, of course, the painting was not very good, but Wang Mian was not angry, and continued to paint, and finally the more he painted, the more he painted it, the more it resembled, just like the real thing.
Wang Mian took the lotus painting and sold it, and took the money home to honor his mother.
Because Wang Mian painted lotus flowers very well, many people rushed to buy them, and his environment gradually improved, and he no longer herded cattle for others.
At the same time, his fame gradually spread, and he finally became a famous painter in the country.

The characteristics of the plum blossom of Wang Mian's "Momei": clear and beautiful, noble and dignified, and secluded and super-easy. wrote the elegance of Momei, not rare and gorgeous. There are only faint ink marks, noble. The author said the same noble sentiment as Momei, not with the laity.
Momei is written by the poet Wang Mian of the Yuan Dynasty.
The original text is as follows: My family washes the inkstone pond tree, and each flower blooms with light ink marks.
Don't let people praise the color, just flow clear and full of goodness.
Vernacular translation: A plum blossom growing by the inkstone pond, the plum blossoms seem to be the traces left by the light ink after washing the pen without bright colors. It doesn't need to be praised for its color, it just cares about filling the light fragrance between heaven and earth.

The crown "Momei".
My family washes the inkstone pond tree, and the flowers bloom with light ink marks.
Don't let people praise the good color, only leave the clear air full of goodness.
The first two sentences "My family washes the inkstone pond tree, and the flowers bloom with light ink marks" directly describe Momei. The plum trees by the small pond in the painting are in full bloom, and the plum blossoms are dyed with a touch of ink. "Washing the inkstone pool" uses Wang Xizhi's allusion of "learning books in the pond, and the pool water is black".
The poet has the same surname as the calligrapher Wang Xizhi of the Jin Dynasty, so he said "my family".
The third and fourth sentences praise the high wind and bright festival of Momei. It is painted in light ink, and although it is not delicate on the outside, it has an inner temperament of clear bones, noble and dignified, and secluded and superlative; It doesn't want to use bright colors to attract people, please people, and seek people's praise, but only wants to exude a fragrance and let it stay between heaven and earth. These two lines are the poet's self-portrayal.
Wang Mian was poor since he was a child, herding cattle during the day, and studying hard under the lamp of the Buddhist temple at night, and finally learned to be full of economy, and he was good at poetry and painting, and was versatile. But he tried repeatedly, and he didn't want to tie up with the powerful, so he was desperate for fame and fortune, and returned to Jiuli Mountain in eastern Zhejiang, painting Yimi for a living. The two sentences "Don't let people praise the good color, only leave the pure air full of goodness" show the poet's character of being disdainful and vulgar, being good to himself, and being lonely and self-appreciative.
The title of this poem is "Momei", which is intended to be a chronicle. The poet organically integrates the painting, poetry, and personality. Literally praising plum blossoms, in fact, appreciating their own virtues.

In the first sentence of the poem, Wang Mian said, "My family washes the inkstone pond tree", in fact, this inkstone washing pond is not Wang Mian's family, it is borrowed from Wang Xizhi's home to wash the inkstone pond.
Calligrapher Wang Xi's house.
According to legend, Wang Xizhi practiced calligraphy very diligently, and he was already able to write a good hand at the age of seven. There is a small pond in front of Wang Xizhi's house, and every time he finishes practicing calligraphy, he goes to the pond to wash the brush, and after a long time, the water in the pond is dyed black. This small pond is also famous for this, and is known as the "inkstone washing pond".
Wang Mian borrowed the allusion of washing the inkstone pond in Wang Xizhi's house here, for two reasons, one is that both of them are surnamed Wang, so Wang Mian joked that Wang Xi's house is also my family, and second, it can also show that Wang Mian himself is a diligent person, and like Wang Xizhi, the water from washing the pen can dye a pond black.

There are 3 volumes of "Bamboo Zhai Collection" and 2 volumes of sequels. He has loved plum blossoms all his life, planting plums, singing plums, and painting plums.
