If the engine valve mechanism, crank connecting rod mechanism, and intake and exhaust system are not aligned, the engine can not be properly coordinated to make the engine work. Timing belt: Timing belt is an important part of the engine valve system, which ensures the accuracy of intake and exhaust time through the connection with the crankshaft and a certain transmission ratio.
The belt is used instead of gears because the belt is quiet, has little variation and is easy to compensate. Obviously, the life of the belt is definitely shorter than that of metal gears, so it is necessary to replace the belt regularly.
The timing chain has three colored plates, marked on the balance shaft on both sides and the crankshaft in the middle.

The installation method of the balance shaft is as follows;
1) There are 3 tinted links on the timing chain, 2 of which are chrome-plated silver-gray and 1 is copper-plated brownish-yellow. Align the timing markings on the intake side balancer sprocket with the copper-plated links.
2) Turn the timing chain clockwise, align the chrome links with the timing marks on the balance shaft drive sprockets on the crankshaft, and the chrome plated links are at about 6 o'clock after alignment.
3) Place the timing chain on the water pump drive sprocket. Targeting doesn't need to be very strict here.
4) Adjust the last chrome link so that the timing markings on the exhaust side balancer shaft drive sprocket line up with it.
5) Install the balance shaft timing chain guide plate and bolts, and the bolt tightening torque is 15N·m. Install the balance shaft timing chain small guide plate and bolts, and the bolt tightening torque is 15N·m. Adjustable guide plate and bolt of the timing chain of the balance shaft are installed, and the bolt tightening torque is 10 N·m.
6) Turn the balancer shaft timing chain hydraulic tensioner plunger 90° in its hole and press the plunger, turn the tensioner back to the original 12 o'clock position, and insert 1 paper clip through the hole of the plunger body and insert it into the plunger of the tensioner.
7) Install the balance shaft timing chain tensioner and bolts, the bolt tightening torque is 10N·m, and remove the paper clip from the balance shaft timing chain tensioner.
Note: If there is no timing between the balancer shaft and the engine, the engine may vibrate abnormally or make noise.
Balancer shaft technology is a simple and very practical engine technology, which can effectively reduce the vibration of the whole vehicle and improve the driving comfort.
