Some viruses take up a lot of memory space when they break out, causing the system to run out of memory. Hurry up and go to the antivirus, upgrade the virus database, and then get the antivirus measures right!

2. Improper setting of virtual memory.

Improper setting of virtual memory may also lead to the problem of insufficient memory, under normal circumstances, the size of virtual memory is 2 times the size of physical memory, if it is set too small, it will affect the normal operation of system programs. Resize virtual memory Take WinXP as an example, right-click "My Computer", select "Properties", then in the "Advanced" tab, click the "Settings" button in the "Performance" box, switch to the "Advanced" tab, and then click the "Change" button in the "Virtual Memory" box, then reset the virtual memory size, and restart the system when you are done.

The virtual memory is insufficient because the virtual memory settings in Windows are too small or the hard disk space where the virtual memory is located is insufficient. It is recommended to place the virtual memory in a different partition from the operating system, and set a fixed size, generally 1 5 times the memory capacity of the system; Right-click "My Computer", select "Properties", pop up the system properties window, select the "Performance Options" tab, click the "Virtual Memory" button below, pop up the virtual memory settings window, click the "User Specify Virtual Memory Settings" radio button, "Hard Disk", please select the partition with a larger remaining space, and then enter the appropriate range value in the "Minimum" and "Maximum" text boxes. 3. Insufficient system space.

The virtual memory file is in the system disk by default, such as the virtual memory file name of WinXP, if the remaining space of the system disk is too small, resulting in insufficient virtual memory, there will also be a problem of insufficient memory. The system disk must reserve at least 300MB of free space, of course, this value depends on the actual needs of the user. Try not to install various application software in the system disk, ensure that there is enough space for virtual memory files, and it is best to place virtual memory files in non-system disks.

4. Because the system user permission is not set properly.

When a Windows system based on the NT kernel is started, the system user creates a virtual memory file for the system. For the sake of system security, some users use the NTFS file system, but the system user's permission to "write" and "modify" in the system disk is canceled, so that it is impossible to create virtual memory files for the system, and the problem of insufficient memory will also occur when running large programs. The problem is easy to solve, just re-grant the system user the "write" and "modify" permissions, but this is limited to users who use the ntfs file system.

Exit all the programs except CS, and you're done!

Right-click on "My Computer", Properties - Advanced, select the first "Settings", Advanced - Change, select "System Management Size", if it is already this option but the above problems still appear, check how much space there is in the C drive, if it is too small, you can only clean it up.

Generally, Windows defaults to the system to manage the virtual memory, and it will automatically adjust the size of the swap file according to the needs of different programs, but such a large and small size will put an additional burden on the system and make the system run slower! For this reason, it is best to customize the minimum and maximum values of virtual memory to avoid frequent resizes.

Steps to set up virtual memory:

The minimum setting is equal to your current physical memory, which is the same as your real memory, generally it is set to double or 2 times the physical memory, and the setting of virtual memory is not too high, and the highest setting is 1024MB, which is twice the best setting.
