Why does the disk or folder turn blue or green on XP?

Solution 1: (This operation does not modify the file attributes).

Click [Tools] - Folder Options - View] and remove the tick in front of [Display encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color].

Option 2: (changed the file properties and is no longer compressed).

Right-click the file or folder you want to change to select"Properties -- Advanced", uncheck the boxes before "compress content to save disk space" and "encrypt content to protect data"."OK", select "Apply changes to selected folders, folders, and subfolders".
