Before applying to Simon Fraser University, you should first understand the academic programs offered by the school, choose the major courses you need, understand the relevant application procedures and application deadlines, and be fully prepared for the application.
Undergraduate Admission Requirements:
High School Students:
1) High school graduation with excellent grades, high school diploma and grades at the end of each semester of the third year of high school must be provided.
2) Applicants must demonstrate their ability in mathematics and analysis, and applicants are also required to have a score of 70% or above in mathematics in the second and third years of high school (60 points are passed), more information can be found here.
3) Meet the school's requirements for English scores, generally speaking, applicants are required to have a TOEFL iBT score of no less than 88 and a score of 20 or above in each section; TOEFL computer-based test score of 250 or above; IELTS score or above with no band score below that. College Transfer Students:
Base code applicants are required to complete 24 transferable credit courses, and no more than 60 transferable credit courses can be implemented, and courses less than 24 transferable credit courses can be implemented according to the high school admission standards. If the academic performance is not good enough and the GPA score is low, the admission will not be considered. In addition, applicants should also meet the school's English proficiency requirements and the specific requirements of each major.
Simon Fraser University offers English language training courses called Preparation in Academic Skill in English (PAS) and Academic English Skills (FIC) for students who do not meet the above TOEFL or IELTS requirements. For more information, please click here.
Postgraduate Admission Requirements:
1) For those who have graduated from a regular university, they need to provide a bachelor's degree certificate and the results of all courses during their stay at the university, students from 211 and 985 colleges and universities are required to have a comprehensive academic score of more than 80%, and students from other institutions are required to achieve a comprehensive academic score of more than 85%.
2) Meet the school's English requirements: applicants are required to have a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 88 and a minimum score of 20 in each component; IELTS academic score not lower than; A minimum of 62 points in the overall score of the PTE and a minimum score of 55 in each component.
