Chen Jun (the oldest Chinese in recorded history).
Chen Jun (881-1324), the word Jun, a native of Tangcheng Village, Wutong Township, Yongtai County, was born in the Tang Dynasty (881 AD), died in the Yuan Dynasty Taiding Jiazi year (1324 AD), at the age of 443, is the longest-lived person in historical records.
Later life experiences. In that year, Chen Jun practiced medicine in Jiangxi and saw Tangquan Village (now known as Tangcheng Village, Wutong Township, Yongtai County) with beautiful mountains and waters, hot springs all over the place, and good mountains and waters, so he stayed. Chen Jun is an upright person, willing to do good deeds for the township, and is respected by the villagers.
In his later years, he was unable to support himself, and as the old man grew older, his body gradually shrank, and his body became smaller and smaller, "like a child." When Chen Jun lived to be more than 400 years old, his entire weight was less than 5 catties (kilograms). It was very inconvenient to move, so the neighbors made a large vegetable basket with hemp bamboo for the elderly, and the donors took turns carrying them in and out of the house, so the neighbors.
The people of Tangquan Village felt very surprised to see the old man Chen Jun so long-lived, and they all treated him as a treasure in the world, or even as a god possessed. Usually, the villagers even go to the fields to work, afraid that the old people will be lonely, they like to take the old people to the edge of the field, while working, while chatting with them, when hungry to feed human milk, the relationship between each other is very close.
The mystery of longevity. There is a hot spring with excellent water quality in Chen Jun's former residence, with a water temperature as high as 73, and Chen Jun's longevity may be related to his perennial soaking in this hot spring. But people are more willing to believe in the legends of the countryside.
Legend has it that there was a little ghost who once broke the string that wore the book of life and death, and in a hurry, he tore a piece of paper from the book of life and death and twisted it into a string instead, which was torn off Chen Jun's life and death schedule. King Yama's life and death book did not have Chen Jun's name on it, and Chen Jun was naturally free from death. But King Yama was a serious man.
In order to find out this "leaking death" person, he sent two little ghosts, turned into children, and carried a basket of black charcoal to wash by the hot spring. Chen Jun saw that he was curious, so he leaned up and asked, little ghost: they are "washing charcoal".
Chen Jun laughed and said: "I, Chen Jun, have lived for 443 years, and I have never seen anyone who can wash black charcoal into white charcoal." Chen Jun died at noon that day.
After Chen Jun's death, the villagers placed his bones in the Tangquan Temple as a memorial, and he was known as "Little Peng Zu" (legend has it that Peng Zu lived for more than 1,000 years). Chen Jun's life deeds are engraved on a wooden tablet, which has been preserved from the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. The name and legend of "Vegetable Basket Gong" are still widely spread in Yongtai County.

Speaking of the longest-lived person in history, many people will say that it is Peng Zu, because Peng Zu lived 800 years: or some people will say that it is 700-year-old Meng Qi, although ancient humans generally lived long, but it is already a fantasy for us. In fact, Peng Zu is not the longest lifespan in human history, someone lives more than 200 years longer than Peng Zu, he is the Baozhang monk.
There is a saying called "one monk and one piece", and "Tao" is actually Peng Zu of Pengshan, he lived 880 years old, and the real identity of "monk" is Baozhang monk, he lived longer, lived 1072 years old. Some people say that this is fake, and the Baozhang monk is even more nonsense. However, these two special historical figures are accurately recorded in the official history and partial history.
1. Chen Jun, also known as Cai Basket Gong, the word Keming, is a native of Yongtai, Fujian, born in the Tang Dynasty and Xin Chou year, died in the first year of Yuantai, Jiazi year, after Tang, five dynasties, Song, Yuan dynasties, at the age of 443.
2, Chen Jun lived for more than 400 years, but unfortunately, he had no heirs. In his old age, there was no one around to take care of him. Although Chen Jun is alive, he can't avoid the decline of his physical functions, and his body has shrunk and he has become a dwarf.
Fortunately, the villagers lent a helping hand and took turns to take care of him, so he thought of a way to put Chen Jun in a vegetable basket when he went to work in the field, and took him to the countryside like a child so that he could take care of it. When Chen Jun was hungry, he was fed with human milk, so the neighbors called Chen Jun "the vegetable basket man".
