The first is to retribution, the heavens of the Three Realms all have five kinds of supernatural powers, and even ghosts and gods also have small passes, and these supernatural powers are naturally felt according to the retribution.

The second is to cultivate, the three sages practice the three learnings and obtain the six paths, and the immortals of the outer path practice meditation and now obtain the five paths.

The third is to obtain through change, and the three sages realize all kinds of people with their divine powers.

Therefore, there is no causal relationship between an enlightened person and whether or not he has supernatural powers. Some people have supernatural powers before they are enlightened, and some people do not necessarily have supernatural powers when they are enlightened.

Enlightenment is just a sudden understanding of many Buddhist principles, just like waking up from a big dream, at this time, you only need to read the Buddhist scriptures and Buddhist principles that ordinary people don't understand, even if you don't need to explain them, you can understand their meaning. Hehe, but enlightenment and supernatural powers are far apart from each other for 108,000 miles, and supernatural powers are obtained through long-term cultivation of precepts, concentration, and wisdom, and they cannot be deliberately sought, and they will not only not get it if they deliberately seek supernatural powers, but they will be enchanted and unable to extricate themselves, and finally lead to personality disorders.

The fundamental enlightenment is not a theoretical realization, but a thorough understanding of the Dharma at one's own level, and generally attaining the attainment of attainment of liberation from the six realms of reincarnation, and such enlightened "people" will have supernatural powers.

If you are a great lay person who is truly diligent, you are likely to obtain six kinds of supernatural powers, or one, or two, or more, such as the Heavenly Eye, the Heavenly Ear, the Heavenly Foot, the Other Heart, the Karma, and the Leakage.

If you can attain the fruition of an arhat, you will naturally have the supernatural powers of an arhat, and if you can attain the fruition of a bodhisattva, you will naturally have the supernatural powers of a bodhisattva. Among them, the Bodhisattvas of the First Land have the supernatural powers of the First Land, and the Bodhisattvas of the Ten Lands have the supernatural powers of the Ten Lands.

Putting the cart before the horse, not developing bodhicitta and not seeking enlightenment, not seeking liberation, but blindly seeking supernatural powers, what we seek is inevitably ghost powers, or even tricks worse than ghost powers.
