Therefore, it is normal to have a certain distance between understanding and practice.

    There needs to be a process for changing our concepts, and there needs to be a process for improving our self-cultivation. This process is the practice of precepts, concentration, and wisdom, but freezing three feet is not a day's cold, and the success of cultivation is not a matter of one or two days.
