In July 2006, in accordance with the spirit of the instructions, the China Maritime Surveillance Corps began to carry out regular rights protection patrols and law enforcement in the waters under the jurisdiction of the East China Sea. The competent departments of marine administration at all levels and their subordinate China maritime supervision agencies shall, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, intensify administrative law enforcement in the waters under China's jurisdiction, severely crack down on all kinds of maritime violations and regulations, and promote and strengthen routine marine administrative law enforcement work with special law enforcement actions.
In February 2007, with the approval of the People's Republic of China, China Maritime Surveillance began to carry out regular rights protection patrol law enforcement in the waters under the jurisdiction of the Yellow Sea and the South China Sea, formally establishing a regular rights protection patrol law enforcement system in the waters under China's jurisdiction.
