Incomplete RMB Exchange Method:

In order to protect the national currency and the interests of the people and facilitate circulation, the People's Bank of China promulgated on May 8, 1955 the method for converting the broken renminbi.

The Measures stipulate that any person who falls under any of the following circumstances shall be able to exchange the full amount of the RMB with the license of the People's Bank of China

1. The face of the ticket is incomplete no more than 1 5, and the rest of the patterns and words can be connected as they are;

2. The face of the ticket is defaced, scorched, wet, soaked in oil, and discolored, but it can distinguish the true from the false, and the complete or incomplete face of the ticket does not exceed 1 5, and the rest of the pattern and text are connected as they are.

If the face of the ticket is mutilated from 1 5 to 1 2, and the design and text of the rest can be connected as it is, it shall be exchanged with the People's Bank of China for half of the original denomination, but shall not be used in circulation.

At the same time, the measures stipulate that any mutilated renminbi shall not be converted under one of the following circumstances:

1. The face of the ticket is mutilated 1 2 or more;

2. The face of the ticket is defaced, scorched, wet, oiled, discolored, and cannot distinguish the real from the fake;

3. Those who deliberately dig up, alter, cut and paste together, or remove one side.

Incomplete renminbi that cannot be exchanged shall be voided by the People's Bank of China and shall not be circulated for use.

Tear it off and go to the bank for a new one.

Is it money laundering?

The RMB is washed, and depending on the situation, the following methods can be used:

1. Many people put money in their pockets and forget to take it out, and it is directly washed and dried to become a dry paper ball, at this time you should put the RMB in water, gently smooth it after soaking it wet, and put it on a paper towel to absorb the water. Remember not to use too much force, and not to tear dry, otherwise, tear to the bank to exchange to discount.

2. If it has been washed in the washing machine and has not been dried, gently take out the money, put it on a paper towel to absorb water, check whether there is any defect after drying, and continue to use it if not. If you have one, you can exchange it at the bank. If the RMB is defective, according to Article 4 of the Measures for the Exchange of RMB Defected and Defaced by the Bank of China, the RMB exchange rate is divided into two situations: "full amount" and "half amount".

1) If the remaining three-quarters (including three-quarters) of the face of the coupon can be distinguished, and the design and text can be connected as it is, or if the RMB is damaged or defaced, the banking institution shall exchange the full amount of the original denomination to the holder.

2) If the denomination can be distinguished, the remaining half (including one-half) to less than three-quarters of the face value, and the design and text can be connected as it is, the banking institution shall exchange half of the original denomination to the holder. If a quarter of the banknote is missing in the shape of a cross, it will be exchanged at half of the original denomination.

3. Circumstances in which RMB cannot be converted:

1) Lack of banknotes of more than 20 square millimeters.

2) If there are more than 2 cracks, and the length of each place exceeds 5 mm, the same crack is 1 place, and the length is more than 10 mm.

3) The banknote is soft and has no anti-counterfeiting function, and is obviously decolorized, discolored and deformed.

4) There are stains with an area of more than 2 square centimeters, and the stains cover the anti-counterfeiting function.

5) The coin is perforated, torn, deformed, worn, oxidized, and the text, denomination numbers, and patterns are blurred.

The renminbi is not easy to be washed and damaged, as long as the banknote is still intact, find a cool place to dry or continue to use.
