If I love you, I will never be like a star hanging high in the sky, showing myself through your curtain.
If I love you, I will not be like a withered grass that grows from a tree, and sprouts itself through your nourishment.
To the Oak Tree is a contemporary poem written by Chinese poet Shu Ting in 1977. This poem has a total of 36 lines, and the first 13 lines of the poet use six images of climbing flowers, infatuated birds, springs, dangerous peaks, sunlight, and spring rain to deny the traditional concept of love; 14 Lines 36 positively express his ideal view of love.
Through the artistic technique of overall symbolism, the poem uses the inner monologue of "kapok" to "oak tree" to sing passionately and honestly about his own personality ideals and the concept of love that requires standing side by side, independent and affectionate. The chapters and syntax of the poems are carefully arranged, so that the lyricism and argumentation are naturally integrated, and the rich and delicate feelings have a rational brilliance.

Imitation writing is not only to understand what is written in the poem and what thoughts and feelings are expressed by the author, but more importantly, to know which words and phrases the author uses, in what order, and what methods are used.
To the Oak Tree.
If I love you, I will never be like a sunflower on high aloft.
Always on top.
If I love you, I will never learn from the infatuated bird.
Repeat monotonous songs for the shade of greenery.
It's not just like a fountain, it sends you cool comfort all year round.
Life should be colorful.
I would like to take you to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the spring rain.
Drenched in spring rain, watching the grass grow.
No, these are not enough.
I'm also going to make you a tree for you when you travel in the desert.
Shaded areas.
I would like to be a humble house to protect you from the wind and rain.
I would also like to work with you to become a branch.
Every gust of wind blows, I can hold your hand.
We all greeted each other, even though no one understood each other.
Only you and I can comprehend that we share the cold wave of winter.
Withstand the summer heat and feel the ferocity of the summer storm.
We also watched the sunrise and sunset together, and enjoyed the rainbow after the rain together.
Although it seems that they can never be united, they will be dependent on each other for life.
This is the great love of romance, feel the passage of time together.
Growing old together, just because you and I have never been separated.

The overall symbolic technique of constructing the image is covering the repentance (the whole poem uses the overall image of oak and kapok to correspondingly symbolize the independent personality and sincere love of both sides of love), so that the philosophical thoughts and ideas can be generated and poetized in the intimate and sensible image, so this poem with a rational temperament makes people feel no didactic meaning, but only conquered and intoxicated by the rich and moving images in it.

The imagery in the oak tree can basically be divided into three categories, the first category is the opposite, which the poet resolutely rejects, there are Lingxiao flowers, do not learn from Lingxiao flowers to show off themselves by the halo of others, there are infatuated birds, and they will not sacrifice their love because of the benefits - green shade - monotonous singing. The second type is neutral, the poet has to learn from their merits, but not only their merits, this kind of imagery has a source, to send coolness, dangerous peaks, increase height, and enhance majesty. The third type is positive, there is only one, that is, the kapok tree, which is close to the beloved, advances and retreats with the adversity, and is unswerving in love.

"To the Oak Tree" imagery.
Soaring Flowers—"Show off with your high branches"—Dependent birds—"Repeat monotonous songs for the green yin"—Wishful thinking—"Cool solace for many years"—Selfless dedication—"Increase your height, set off your majesty"—Self-sacrificing oak trees--- masculine men.
Kapok --- a woman with a pliable beauty.
Sunshine Spring Rain - Give the oak tree the spirit of dedication, but forget to give yourself an independent world and the opportunity to create your own value.
