Below is a sample 4th grade essay. My vacation, although my summer vacation is only a month, I have a very fulfilling and happy time. I traveled to a lot of places with my parents and learned a lot.

We first went to a beautiful seaside city. There are nice sandy beaches and turquoise waters, and I swim, play in the sand, and watch the sunset with my parents. I also found a lot of interesting creatures on the beach, like purple starfish, red conch, blue seaweed, and so on.

Next, we went to visit an ancient city. We toured the museums, parks, churches and more. I also learned about the history and culture there, such as the city walls, the old buildings, the traditional food, and so on.

In addition to traveling, I also learned a lot during my vacation. I read a lot of interesting books and learned new vocabulary and knowledge. I also participated in some interest classes, such as painting, playing the piano, dancing, etc.
