Evening view of the east building of Xianyang City" Tang (Xu Hun).
As soon as you go to the high city, you will be sad, and the willows will be like Tingzhou.
The clouds of the river are rising and the sun is sinking, and the mountain rain is about to come, and the wind is full of buildings.
Under the birds, the green Qinyuan is in the evening, and the cicadas are singing in the autumn of the Han Palace.
Pedestrians don't ask about the year, so the east of the country comes to Weishui.
The first couplet writes about the feeling of nostalgia for the building. As soon as the poet climbed the high city tower of Xianyang, he looked south, and the smoke cage in the distance was full of flowers, and the fog covered the willows, which was very much like Tingzhou in the Yangtze River. The poet traveled to Chang'an, far away from his hometown, and once he was in prison, homesickness came to his heart.
The poplar willow is slightly similar to the south of the Yangtze River. It's a touch of emotion. The sorrow of thousands of miles is starting with homesickness.
And the autumn water and the Yangliu River Bridge are all related to the injury of the Huairen. The first couplet begins with the word "sorrow", which sets the tone of the whole poem. The poet uses low brushstrokes to describe the evening scenery of Xianyang City, expressing his desolate and sad feelings.
This couplet begins with a longitudinal pen, exports thousands of miles, and then closes the pen and returns to the present. The method of opening and closing the escapement is skillfully used.
The jaw couplet writes the time and atmosphere of the building. The poet ascended the tower at sunset, when thick clouds poured in from the sky over Panxi, a cool breeze blew, and the rain was imminent. This is a real scene, but it conveys a special feeling.
The mountain rain is coming, and the wind is full of buildings" contains a social experience. "The wind is the head of the rain" is the law of nature. Nowadays, people often use this sentence as a metaphor for the tense atmosphere before a major event.
The clouds rise and the sun sinks, the rain comes and the wind is full, and the dynamics are distinct.
The tail couplet writes the current scene of the old capital of the Qin and Han dynasties. The former capital of the two dynasties has become a field where grass and trees grow wildly; The forbidden garden is deep in the palace, and now it is green all over the place, and the yellow leaves are full of forests; There is only the sound of insects, and I don't know the rise and fall. Historical evolution, dynastic changes, and the vicissitudes of the world, the poet can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for the ancients.
In the tail couplet, the poet said, the pedestrians who are detained here should not ask about the old Qin and Han dynasties, I came to Xianyang this time, and I can't even find the ruins, only Weishui is still as long as in the past. The poet integrates homesickness and hanging the ancient, the two emotions penetrate each other, stimulate each other, and the feelings are strong, compared with the general nostalgic poems and homesick poems, the artistic conception is more lofty.

Translations. After climbing the high-rise building, nostalgia arises spontaneously, and the reeds and willows are clustered in front of you, just like Tingzhou in the south of the Yangtze River.
The dark clouds on the side of the stream have just floated on the edge of the stream, the sunset has sunk behind the pavilion, the mountain rain is coming, and the wind is full of wind.
The palace of the Qin and Han dynasties is desolate. Birds fall into the grass, autumn cicadas chirp among the withered yellow leaves.
Passers-by don't ask about the past, only Weishui flows eastward as always.
Appreciation. This poem was written by Xu Hun when he supervised the imperial history, when the Tang Dynasty was already in turmoil, on an autumn evening, the poet climbed the Xianyang ancient city tower to watch the scenery, and improvised this poem. This poem uses clouds, sun, wind, and rain to advance layer by layer, and renders filial piety and silver with green and yellow leaves, outlining a depressed and desolate artistic conception, and expressing infinite feelings about the decline of the family and country through the abandonment of the Qin Garden and the Han Palace.
