We all know that Lu You is a talented literati with deep patriotic feelings, but he was dismissed and went home, and the reason is very simple.
When Song Xiaozong had just succeeded to the throne, it was when he was in full swing, because he had signed many humiliating treaties before, how could he be resigned to the status quo. At that time, he appointed a veteran general Zhang Jun as a privy envoy, and after General Zhang was appointed as a privy envoy, he asked for troops to be sent to the Northern Expedition, hoping that the imperial court could cooperate with him and issue an edict calling on the people of the Central Plains to recover the land captured by the invaders. At that time, Lu You was working as a privy envoy, and his talent was greatly appreciated by General Zhang, so General Zhang asked him to draft this edict.
When Lu You was twenty-nine years old, he once took an exam and won the first place. At that time, Qin Yu's grandson also participated in this exam, and before the exam, Qin Yu had already hinted that the examiner wanted his grandson to take the first place, but the examiner did not agree, and finally chose Lu You, so he was very dissatisfied. In the second year, Lu You went to the capital to take the exam, and the Chinese chapter of this exam was still very well written, and the examiner was very satisfied and still wanted him to be the first place.
Unexpectedly, this matter was known to Qin Yu, and he used his power to ask the examiner to cancel Lu You's examination qualifications. Qin Yu has always disliked Lu You, let alone his appearance around him. After Qin Yu died, he could come to the imperial court to be an editor.
General Zhang, who served as the chief general in the First War of the Northern Expedition, did not achieve reasonable and effective command, and the two generals were even more suspicious of each other. Naturally, the battle was lost. At that time, the personnel of the main peace faction took advantage of this opportunity to attack General Zhang, and believed that the reason why Zhang insisted on sending troops to the Northern Expedition was entirely because of Lu You's instigation.
As a result, General Zhang was expelled from the imperial court, and he was implicated because of this, and he was dismissed and returned to his hometown.
This is the story of Lu You's dismissal and his return home.
-
A person like Lu You, who has no background and only talent, should not do things in the court at all, when is the emperor unhappy, and there is not even a person to intercede.
-
Lu You is also a general who leads troops to fight, but the Song Dynasty does not reuse military attachés, so Lu You has no backers in the court, and he may be demoted after losing the war.
-
Lu You was dismissed and went home because he was excluded, and his concept at that time was different from that of some big officials.
-
It was mainly a political disagreement with the rulers of the dynasty, and the ruler and Lu You were in the war, so they were naturally implicated and dismissed and went home.
-
At the beginning, it was because he was squeezed out by Qin Yu. Later, after Qin Yu's death, he returned to serving as an official in the court. Then at that time, Lu You was very supportive of the Northern Expedition, but General Zhang, the leader at that time, did not do a good job of commanding.
His men were suspicious of each other, which led to a defeat in the battle. As a result, General Zhang was ostracized and left the imperial court.
-
Lu You, mainly because he had no backers in the imperial court, and he was a military attaché who was not taken seriously, and of course he was hurt when he disagreed with those who were in high positions, so he dismissed the official and returned to his hometown.
-
Lu You belonged to the main battle faction, and the Northern Expedition was defeated not long after it began. The Lord and the faction began to attack the people of the Lord and the faction.
-
Because at that time, General Zhang wanted to serve the country loyally and recover the lost territory of the motherland, so he asked Lu You to draft an edict, but in the end the emperor was unwilling, so Lu You was implicated and dismissed.
-
Because he was squeezed out by Qin Yu. Later, after Qin Yu's death, he returned to serving as an official in the court. Then at that time, Lu You was very supportive of the Northern Expedition, but General Zhang, the leading general at that time, did not do a good job of commanding, so he went home.

Lu You was born in a family of eunuchs who had been officials for generations. The year of his birth coincided with the corruption of the Song Dynasty and repeated attacks by the Jurchen tribes of the Jin State. In the following year, the Jin soldiers captured Bianjing, the capital of the Song Dynasty, and as an infant, he began a wandering life with his family, which left an unforgettable impression on Lu You in his childhood.
Lu You once wrote in a poem: "Get on the horse to fight the crazy Hu, get off the horse and write the military book", hoping that one day he can come to the battlefield and kill the enemy to serve the country. In Lu You's view, only by taking the official position and becoming an official can he realize his lofty ambition of patriotism and concern for the people.
So in the thirteenth year of Shaoxing, Lu You took the Jinshi exam. However, Lu You, who had excellent results, was not on the list this time. Historically, during the war between the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty, the main peace faction represented by Song Gaozong and Qin Hui opposed the resistance to Jin and advocated peace.
The theme of Lu You's scientific expedition in this scientific expedition is "to resist gold and restore the Central Plains." Therefore, Qin Hui canceled Lu You's ranking in the scientific expedition on the grounds that Lu You "likes to talk about recovery" and violates the political strategy of the time. Lu You's career path has been stranded again.
When Lu You was preparing for the next scientific expedition, Lu You's father, Lu Zai, passed away. According to the Song Dynasty etiquette law, the imperial examination was not allowed to be taken during the three-year period of filial piety. In the twenty-third year of Shaoxing, that is, in 1153, he once again came to Lin'an, Hangzhou to take the Jinshi examination.
Lu You, who was originally ranked first, fell to Sun Mountain again. So, what is the reason for the failure of Lu Youhuang? Mainly because Lu You insisted on advocating "resisting Jin and recovering the country" in the autumn of the twenty-eighth year of Shaoxing, that is, in 1158, the thirty-four-year-old Lu You came to Lin'an again and served as the mayor of Ningde County, Fuzhou, which was the first time Lu You embarked on the road of official career.
At this time, the anti-war faction in the Southern Song Dynasty gradually raised their heads and demanded to recover the lost territory. Lu You's patriotic ideal of "recovering the Central Plains" germinated again. So he put forward many patriotic suggestions to the current emperor Song Gaozong Zhao Gou.
But it didn't take long for Lu You to be deposed again. In the thirty-second year of Shaoxing, that is, in 1162, Song Xiaozong Zhao Tuan succeeded to the throne. After Song Xiaozong Zhao Tuan succeeded to the throne, Zhao Tuan began to have the will to resist the Jin soldiers and restore the lost land.
So he especially admired Lu You and gave Lu You a Jinshi background. Just when Lu You was proud of his career on the road, he was deposed by Song Xiaozong Zhao Tuan. After Lu You was deposed this time, his mood was particularly complicated.
Every time he was deposed, Lu You was indignant and hurt, but this time he had a good impression of Song Xiaozong Zhao Tuan, because Song Xiaozong Zhao Tuan had the idea of resisting Jin, and he thought that one day, he could return to officialdom. In the eighth year of the main road, that is, in 1172, Lu You came to the shogunate of Wang Yan, the main battle general of Sichuan, Xuanfu, and devoted himself to military life. However, Lu You's patriotic ideas of worrying about the country and the people and swearing to resist gold were difficult to realize in the end.
-
Lu You's grandfather was called Lu Dian, a farmer, a native of Shanyin, Yuezhou (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang).
Lu Dian's family was poor. Later, through hard study, he was admitted to the Jinshi, and was promoted by Song Shenzong to be a scholar and a scholar. Huizong succeeded to the throne, and Lu Dianshi was first called to be the servant of the Ministry of Rites, promoted to the secretary of the Ministry of Shangshu, and worshiped the right of the Shangshu, and then turned to the left.

Lu. The patriotic feelings in the poem were the spiritual strength of the people at that time to resist foreign invaders. His classic poem "Two Songs of the Wind and Rain on November 4th" is a patriotic poem left by Lu You when he was 68 years old: "Lying in a lonely village does not mourn, Shang Si is the national military wheel." >>>More
