When there is a drought, the plague is prevalent, and the corpses can be seen on the road from time to time, Dafeng saw this situation, so he set up an altar in the "Lion's Tail Stone" (now Dafeng Stone) while chanting scriptures to pray for the people, while cleaning drinking water, and collecting medicine to cure the people.

At that time, Lianjiang (ancient Dachuan) is connected to the sea, the water flow is turbulent, the two sides of the river are blocked, sometimes there are boats drowning villagers, Dafeng patriarch is anxious about the difficulties of the villagers, and is willing to build a peace bridge to lead to the future. He went to the riverside to measure the depth of the river, ran around, and raised funds. He went to Fujian to raise funds for three years, raised a donation, and returned to Chaoyang to build the Peace Bridge.

In the first year of Jianyan (1127), when the bridge was built to 16 holes, only 2 holes were left to complete, Dafeng died due to advanced age and overwork.
