In total, more than 1,000 human beings have carried out more than 500 astronauts in space. So far, China has carried out seven manned space missions, with 17 people and 12 astronauts in space.

Space accidents. In the history of human conquest of space, there have also been many astronauts who have sacrificed their lives for the space cause. So far, a total of 22 astronauts have been killed in manned space accidents, including 16 Americans, 5 Russians (Soviet) and 1 Israeli.

Two of the largest space accidents, the U.S. Space Shuttle Challenger on 28 January 1986 and the Space Shuttle Columbia on 1 February 2003, killed 14 astronauts.

According to statistics, more than 500 people from more than 30 countries have been to space, and Yang Liwei is the 413th person in space, but some people have been to space many times. So now, the number of people who have gone to space is more than 1,000. The United States is the first, Russia is the second, and many other countries, including Germany, France, Japan, and even Mongolia and Vietnam, have people who have gone to space, all on the American space shuttle or the Russian Soyuz spacecraft.

At present, China is the third country in the world that truly has the ability to send people into space.

The sky refers to the cosmic space outside the Earth's atmosphere, the entire space outside the atmospheric space. Physicists divide the atmosphere into five layers: the troposphere (sea level up to 10 km), the stratosphere (10 40 km), the mesosphere (40 80 km), the thermosphere (ionosphere, 80 370 km) and the outer atmosphere (ionosphere, above 370 km).

About 3.4 percent of the atmosphere above the Earth is in the troposphere and 97 per cent below the stratosphere, the outer edge of which is the maximum limit for aircraft to fly with air support. Some high-altitude rockets can enter the middle layer. The lowest orbit of an artificial satellite is within a thermolayer, and its air density is 1% of the Earth's surface.

Air continues to exist at altitudes of 10,000 km, and there are still airborne particles even at altitudes of 100,000 km. From a strictly scientific point of view, there is no clear boundary between airspace and outer space, but rather a gradual convergence. The Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space noted that it was not yet possible to come up with precise and lasting scientific criteria for delineating outer space and airspace.

In recent years, there has been a trend towards the minimum altitude of satellites off the ground (100,110) kilometres as the minimum limit for outer space.

Shenzhou 6. 12 October 2005.

For the first time, a multi-person multi-day space flight was carried by Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng.

Shenzhou VII. 2008-09-25.

For the first time, three astronauts were carried into space, and the astronauts carried by Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng were searched and successfully carried out the capsule activity (also known as spacewalk).

Shenzhou 8. Sold on November 1, 2011.

The improved Long March-2F Yao-8 rocket was successfully launched. In the early morning of November 3, 2011, the first rendezvous and docking mission with the combined Tiangong-1 was successfully carried out, becoming part of China's space laboratory.

Shenzhou 9. Afternoon of June 16, 2012.

The first manned rendezvous and docking mission sent three astronauts into space, Jing Haipeng, Liu Wang and Liu Yang (China's first female astronaut). On the afternoon of June 18, Shenzhou-9 successfully achieved automatic rendezvous and docking with the Tiangong-1 target vehicle. On June 24, astronaut Liu Wang operated the spacecraft to successfully complete the hand-controlled rendezvous and docking at Tiangong-1.
