The founder of the philosophy of Miletus, as well as the founder of Greek philosophy, was Thales (624 BC, 548 BC). Thales was a Phoenician Miletus who was revered as the progenitor of all Western philosophy. Born into an aristocratic family, he was a businessman, engaged in political activities, and observed and studied nature.
Because of his erudition and accomplished social activities, he was greatly respected by the Greeks and was hailed as one of the "Seven Sages" of Greece.

The history of the Greeks began to sprout, literary creation began to rise, and it was here that Greek science was initially developed, and philosophy began its long journey of world origin.

Anaximmenes believed that gas is the source of all things, that different forms of matter are produced by the process of coalescing and dispersing, and that fire is the purest form of air.
Anaximenes is known for his doctrine that gas is all things. This theory is the opposite of one of his teachers, Thales, who believed that water is the origin of all things. And Anaximander also believed that at a certain moment, everything is gas.
In his theory, gases were converted into other substances by the forces of nature, thus evolving into a primitive world, which is the earth we live on now. He believed that gas was a natural material that could be found anywhere, and thus his philosophical theory was elevated. This theory also coincides with the earliest Greek culture that "the soul is sometimes the breath of life".
Anaximenes once wondered if gas was a universal thing, that it could enter our souls spontaneously and thus achieve the goal of controlling the body.
Another great achievement of Anaximenes is the explanation of an interesting natural variation:
Gases are different from spices because gases are precious and the density of both is different. When the gas becomes thinner, it becomes fire. When it's compressed, it turns into wind.
It was then compressed into water, then the earth, and finally into stone, and everything in the world was made of gas.
Using two opposing intentions—thinning and compressing—Anaximenes explained the evolution of gas in this nature, from fire to wind, to water, to earth, and finally to stone.
Anaximeni likewise came up with a theory through practice: if a person hits another person's hand with their mouth relaxed, the air gets hot;If a person hits another person's hand with their lips open, then the air gets hot. Therefore, we can show that rare things are associated with heat.
Density is not the same in fire as in water.
Anaximenes was the first to back up his theory with actual events. Anaximander once depicted an orderly change: endless tribulation is a raw material of nature.
But Anaximenes could not give a scientific explanation. In contrast, Anaximmeni supported this claim by giving a well-known example of wool being compressed because it was to be made into a blanket.
Like Anaximande, Anaximenes used his theory to explain natural phenomena: lightning and thunder are formed because clouds turn into wind;A rainbow is formed when the sun shines on the clouds; When it rains, the ground needs to evaporate water.
Many philosophers who endorsed Aristotle's theory also endorsed Anaximenes' theory of material monism. This theory holds that everything in the world is made up of a substance. Anaximenes thought it was gas.
Throughout his life, Anaximenes was able to see examples to support his theories.
Anaximenes' theories were later developed by Heraclitus into a huge branch of philosophy, and later criticized by Parmenides.
