There are three theories about Kang Youwei's death: one died of illness; second, he was poisoned by the killers sent by the Empress Dowager Cixi of the former Qing Dynasty before her death; The third was poisoned by Kuomintang agents. The former statement is the official historical statement; The second reason may not be sufficient, Gai Kang's support for the restoration of the Qing dynasty in his later years, and the grievances at the time of the Wuxu Reform have changed; The third theory has not seen any historical records so far, but because it is the self-report of Kang's descendants, it is worthy of attention and needs to be verified by historians.
The mystery of the seventieth birthday and death.

simply compares Kang Youwei to Confucius, the "Holy Teacher".
The day before, Xu Liang arrived in Shanghai from Tianjin, bringing the last emperor Puyi inscribed the imperial pen "Yue Zhi Yuanqing" four-character plaque and a jade Ruyi handle, He Kang Youwei's 70th birthday. Kang Youwei thanked Pu Yi and drafted the "Thanksgiving Fold" with more than 1,000 words, which were cleared by the secretary in small letters, lithographed 1,000 copies, and distributed them to birthday greeting guests.
Kang Youwei's 70th birthday, just when the Northern Expeditionary Army was mighty and invincible. Shanghai Kang Youwei and Beijing Liang Qichao were both very panicked. Kang Youwei wanted to move the whole family to a safe place to avoid the advance of the Northern Expeditionary Army.

Give it to the workers with its image as a commemoration, if you know who will say goodbye forever. ”
It is said that on March 19, Kang Youwei went to the home of a fellow villager in Guangdong. I went home and drank a cup of lemon tea, and I had abdominal pain, and I asked two doctors to diagnose it, and a Japanese doctor concluded that it was food poisoning. more than 20 hours of delay; He ran out of breath at 5 a.m. on March 21, 1927 (February 18 of the lunar calendar).

There are three theories about how Kang Youwei died: one was that he died of illness; second, he was poisoned by a killer sent by Emperor Cixi of the Qing Dynasty; The third is to be poisoned by the Kuomintang.
The first is the Righteous Statement; Second, the reasons may not be sufficient. In his later years, Gai Kang supported the restoration of the Qing court, and the public grievances of the Wuxu Reform Law had changed; Thirdly, there is no historical record so far, but it is worth paying attention to where historians need to verify because it is the autobiography of Kang's descendants.

According to the Japanese doctor's diagnosis, it was food poisoning, which should be a modern food hygiene problem, not someone deliberately poisoning. Zhenghuai ruined so he barely died a normal death, and he died at the age of 70, which was considered a high life at that time.

<> March 31, 1927, Kang Youwei died mysteriously at his home in Qingdao, and died at the age of 69.
Kang Youwei's death was so strange that it has been debated to this day. Before coming to Qingdao, Kang Youwei had been living in Shanghai. Seeing that Shanghai was about to be occupied, Kang Youwei made this trip to Qingdao on March 18, 1927.
Through the "Royalist Society", Kang Youwei accumulated a lot of wealth. Kang Youwei lived in exile overseas for 16 years, and after returning to China in 1913, he was willing to settle in China, and looked for a suitable place to settle, and in 1923 Kang Youwei spent a lot of money to buy a mansion located at No. 5 Fushan Branch Road, Shinan District, Qingdao, which was originally the residence of the dignitaries of the Governor's Office during the German occupation of Qingdao.
On March 29, Kang Youwei came to Yingji Restaurant, a Cantonese restaurant on Zhongshan Road, to participate in a banquet for fellow villagers. During this time, he drank a glass of orange juice, and suddenly had unbearable pain in his abdomen, so he hurried home. The next day, under the rescue of two doctors, the preliminary diagnosis was food poisoning.
After a day of vomiting, Kang Youwei felt that his body was getting better, and at night, he suddenly shouted "It's over, it's over!" In the early morning of the next day, Kang Youwei said to the people around him, "I have no place to stand in China, but I can't die in a foreign country." Not long after, Kang Youwei died of bleeding from the seven orifices.
is so magical that it can't help but arouse people's curiosity, how did Kang Youwei die? Most people believe that since the "seven orifices bleed", they must have been poisoned. Kang Youwei's daughter, Kang Tongbi, also holds this view, "People poisoned food and died." ”
Who poisoned? Lu Zhenwen, who once wrote an epitaph for Kang Youwei, has his own opinion, and this person believes that he was poisoned by the Japanese. The reason why the Japanese poisoned them was because Kang Youwei opposed Pu Yi and became the puppet emperor of the Japanese.
It is worth mentioning that this Lu Zhenwen was a traitor during the Anti-Japanese War, became one of the nine members of the Qingdao Japanese Puppet Public Security Maintenance Association, and later served as the director of the puppet Qingdao Special City Finance Bureau and the chairman of the Land Consolidation Committee. Therefore, Lu Zhenwen's statement still has a certain degree of credibility.
There is also a theory that Kang Youwei's other daughter, Kang Tonghuan, did not approve of the poisoning of the Japanese. Kang Tonghuan wrote in the article "The Tombstone of the Father", "Kang Youwei struggled and suffered before his death, and there were blood stains on all seven orifices, of course, it was a phenomenon of poisoning. However, the so-called food poisoning may be caused by the unclean food of Ying Kee Restaurant, not necessarily because of political struggle.
Nearly 100 years have passed since Kang Youwei's mysterious death, and his body is full of countless controversies, perhaps today we can look at Kang Youwei with a more peaceful mind.

Food poisoning.
The latest research in modern medicine has found that seafood is rich in nutrients such as protein and calcium, and orange juice contains a large amount of vitamin C.
Although I don't know what Kang Youwei ate that night, he ate at a friend's house in Guangdong. And both Lu and Cantonese cuisine are known for making seafood, so it is very likely that he ate seafood products that night. After he returned, he drank another glass of lemonade, and under the action of the two phases, arsenic was formed, which eventually led to Kang Youwei's death.
Commemorative for posterity

One said that it was built by Kang Youwei's grandfather. There is still a saying that Ye Mingchen, who was the governor of Liangguang, built it on the orders of his father. According to the research of relevant departments and people in recent years, the Xiaopeng Xianguan should be built by Kang Youwei's grandfather, and the name of the Xianguan was a kind of atmosphere at that time to show elegance and refinement.

This should be a normal death, he was already in his 70s at the time, so this age should be considered a very high life in ancient times, so he should have died of normal illness, there should be no problem with this, and his grandson Sima Yan finally established the Western Jin Dynasty, this is also a general situation.
After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, Li Shanchang became the crown prince and young master, but he was more arrogant after he became rich, which caused Zhu Yuanzhang's dissatisfaction, and because Li Shanchang recommended Hu Weiyong, but Hu Weiyong rebelled, so Zhu Yuanzhang beheaded Li Shanchang's whole family regardless of 3721, in fact, he was wronged, Hu Weiyong wanted to pull Li Shanchang into the water, Li Shanchang did not agree, only said, "I am old, I die, you will do it yourself."".Zhu Yuanzhang condemned him.
