In the 30 years of reform and opening up, the domestic mold industry has developed rapidly, but the technology has been accumulated little by little. Advanced equipment can be bought with bills. But a lot of technology abroad will not buy you for you.

Let's talk about my experience, when I didn't have classes in the second semester of my junior year, I went to a small factory to do a mold apprenticeship, and I did it for four months, and I learned the mold process and processing principles, and at the same time, I also practiced CAD and Pore engineering drawings, which was quite hard at that time.

After I got my diploma, I went to interview for a job as a mold draughtsman and worked there for a year. In fact, I am very familiar with parting and 2D ranking.

After the Chinese New Year this year, I went to interview for a job as a mold designer, and finally succeeded. The monthly salary is three thousand and a half, including food and clothing.

It seems that you are completely new to the mold industry! Wire cutting is just one of the processing processes in the mold manufacturing process, and mold design is the first step in the mold development process. Usually the whole mold development process is like this:

1. Mold design, the work content includes: technical feasibility analysis, mold structure conception, mold structure 3D mold, mold 2D drawings, other technical document output and other processes.

2. Mold manufacturing, the work content includes: mold manufacturing processing process planning, mold processing, fitter matching, assembly and other processes, of which mold processing usually has CNC machining (such as CNC milling, high-speed milling, five-axis milling, CNC lathes, etc.), electrical discharge machining (such as EDM, perforation, wire cutting, etc.), as well as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, drilling machines, etc., wire cutting is only a small part of it.

3. Mold verification and rectification optimization, including: mold test, inspection of test molds, sending samples to customers, rectification of mold test problems, customer design changes, etc.

Personally, I think that if you learn wire cutting, then you will open your own processing shop in the future. Otherwise, it will be difficult for you to make money by working, and the salary will not be high, and you will die of 3,000 yuan. If you learn mold design, the salary can be higher, and the post level in the factory will be higher in the future, and the working environment is better than wire cutting.

But if you are not learning machinery or molds, or have no mechanical knowledge, then you may be tired to learn, it is best to learn to be a mold fitter first, one to understand the mold structure, the other to learn the processing technology, during the period to read more mold structure books, participate in some mold trial process. After accumulating a certain basic knowledge of molds, then go to learn mold design, or when learning to make molds, go to apply for CAD software training (such as UG, Pro E, etc.), with these experiences and knowledge, go to a regular mold factory as a design assistant, and then slowly improve.
