In 1873, he published The Collected Tales of the Moon, in which The Siege of Berlin highlights the patriotic spirit of the protagonist through the strong contrast between the capture of Paris by the Prussian army and the capture of Berlin imagined by the patients. The Last Lesson is a touching depiction of the last French lesson in the historical context of the cession of Alsace and Lorraine by France to Germany, although it does not correspond to historical facts, since Alsace and Lorraine have always been accustomed to the use of German. In addition, Dude also wrote a large number of novels, including "Dedalen of Dallasgon", which satirized a self-proclaimed hero, "Flormont and the Great Risley" in 1874, which made him one of the greatest ** artists of his time, and "The Immortal", which satirized the highest official academic institution, the Académie Française.
In 1897 he died and was buried in the Lachaise cemetery.

The author, Alphonse Tude (1840-1897), was a famous French realist of the 19th century. On May 12, 1840, Dudson was born in Nîmes, in the department of Provence in the south of France. His father was a businessman, and his mother had a special love for literature, and she loved to read and was not good at cooking.
Dude has been brilliant since childhood. He practiced writing poetry at a very young age and paid attention to life. When he was a student at the lycée in Lyon, he often visited bookstores to read a wide range of books, broadening his horizons.
In 1855, his father went bankrupt and his family was in disarray, and he was forced to drop out of school to fend for himself. At the age of 15, he went to Arley Primary School as a self-study tutor. Two years later, thanks to the help of his brother, he went to Paris and began his literary life in poverty.
In 1860, Dude became secretary to the Duke of Moni. This gave him the opportunity to observe the diverse people of Parisian society, allowing him to travel to the idyllic city of Provence many times, drawing on the folktales and legends that circulated in his homeland. At the age of 25, he published a collection of short stories, "The Mill Papers", describing the natural scenery and customs of the French South.
Two years later, he published a semi-autobiographical novel, "Little Things", which exposed the cold interpersonal relationships in capitalist society and became famous in one fell swoop. When the Franco-Prussian War broke out, Dude was conscripted into the army. Against the backdrop of this war, he wrote a series of short stories with profound patriotic content and excellent artistic skills**, which were concluded as "The Story of the Moonlight Day".
Among them, "The Last Lesson" and "The Siege of Berlin" have become famous short stories in the world because of their typification of art and novel and unique conceptions. During his lifetime, Dude wrote 13 novels, 4 short stories, and a number of plays and poems. He is adept at depicting complex political events with concise brushstrokes, and many readers love his soft and humorous style, ironic vision of reality, and intimate and moving artistic power.
His creations, truth and poetry, laughter and tears, anger and sorrow, communicate and pour out, constitute his unique style that distinguishes him from other writers of his time. ”
Alphonse Dude is a very distinctive family in the history of French literature, and was one of the members of the "Dinner Party of Five" (the other four were Flaubert, Turgenev, Zola, and Émonte Goncourt).
