1. Click to enter the PQ partition software for partition operation, first establish the main partition, that is, the partition where the system disk is located, commonly known as C disk, click the C symbol, you can also operate through the job, establish and operate, the effect of both methods is the same, choose one of them;

2. By default, the newly created partition is a logical partition, first of all, you need to establish the main partition, so select the primary partition, and then fill in the format and size of the main partition, when the size of the primary partition exceeds a certain value, there may be a prompt of "this partition crosses the boundary of the 1024th magnetic column, and may not be able to boot", at this time, you need to reduce the value of the main partition, otherwise it will really fail to boot;

3. Then establish a logical partition, that is, the usual use of D, E, F disk, the establishment method is the same as the main partition, but the logical partition should be selected when selecting the item, there is no limit to the size of the logical partition, the user can choose by himself;

4. The specific establishment of several logical partitions needs to be selected according to the user, and it is recommended that the user apply all the hard disk space to avoid wasting resources.

1. Adjust the capacity of the partition.

1. Open the main interface of the partition tool, and in the "Select a task" area in the left pane, select "Adjust the capacity of a partition", and then select Next.

2. In the "Select Partition" interface, select "C", and then go next.

3. In the "Select New Partition Capacity" interface, specify the new capacity of the partition, and then step up.

4. In the "Confirm Partition Capacity" interface, click "Finish" to return to the main partition interface.

5. In the main partition interface, right-click the "Unassigned" partition in the right pane, and select "New" in the open menu to open the "Create Partition" interface.

6. In the "Create Partition" interface, carefully select and fill in the requirements, and then click "OK".

7. Hit "Apply" in the lower left corner.

8. In the "Apply Changes" confirmation, hit "Yes", and then "OK".

9. Automatic restart, at this time, you should wait patiently for the system self-test, and after the self-test is completed, restart the computer to see if the C is separated.

Note: In order to ensure that the C disk files are not lost, if the total amount of Chinese parts in your C disk is 3G, the capacity of the C disk after setting the partition should be more than 3G, it is recommended to install XP, the capacity of the C disk is 10-20G, Vista or Win7, the capacity of the C disk is 20-30GB.

2. Merge partitions.

1. Open the main window, select "Merge Partitions" on the left pane, and open the "Merge Adjacent Partitions" window.

2. "Select the first partition", after selecting, click Next.

3. "Select the second partition", after selecting, click Next.

4. "Select Folder Name", enter it, and click Next.

5. "Drive letter change" - next step.

6. "Confirm Partition Merge"—Done.

7. Click "Apply" in the lower left corner, and in the "Apply Change" confirmation, hit "Yes", and then "OK".

8. Format the merged partition.

9. Note: Merge two partitions, one is adjacent, and the other is that the size of the file system and cluster of the two partitions must be consistent

1) Adjust the file system: Select the disk you want to adjust the file system - click "Convert Partition" in the left pane - adjust the file system of the two partitions to be the same - OK.

2) Adjust the size of the cluster: Select the sub-disk to be resized - click "Partition" in the menu bar - Advanced - Adjust the size of the cluster - Adjust the size of the cluster of the two partitions to be the same - OK.

3. Adjust and change the drive letter.

If you want to change the disk symbol if the drive letter is out of order after merging, right-click on "My Computer" -- Manage -- Disk Management -- right-click on the disk you want to change in the "Volume" column -- "Change drive name and path." "Change"—click "Assign the following drive letter" -- specify the drive letter from the drop-down list on the right—OK -- Yes to exit.

Note: The boot disk C of the system disk cannot be changed, and all disks cannot have the same name.
