First question: Chelsea are in a period of transition and are arguably serious contenders for the Premier League and Champions League, especially in the league (there are three Premier League trophies). Chelsea's Juan Mata and Eden Hazard both finished in the top six of the 2012/2013 Players' Union Championships.
The second question: the pinnacle is definitely the Champions League in 2011-2012 and the Europa League in 2012-2013.
On 20 May 2012, Chelsea defeated Bayern Munich Munich at the Allianz Arena (4-3 on penalties) to win the first UEFA Champions League trophy in the club's history, becoming the first team in London to win the Champions League. On 15 May 2013, Chelsea defeated Benfica 2-1 at the Amsterdam Athletic Stadium to win the Europa League, becoming only the fourth team in Europe to win a Grand Slam in any of the three major cups.

Chelsea is still in the transition period, and within two years there are Villas-Boas, Di Matteo, Benitez, Mourinho, one after another, and even then they still have a remarkable record, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the Europa League, all won. Therefore, the car boy is still very strong, the team is rich, and the lineup is strong. Chelsea were the strongest in Mourinho's years, with two league titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups and the Champions League in 04 and 07, but unfortunately they didn't win the title.

Chelsea in general! The football background is not deep enough, and it mainly depends on the boss throwing a lot of money to get out! The best result was last year's European Cup.

1.Unable to finalize the defensive setup.
Chelsea used to play a back three under Thomas Tuchel, but Graham Potter switched his side to a back four against Salzburg. However, apart from Thiago Silva, no regular Chelsea defender has been featured in the starting 11 so far this season. Kalidou Koulibaly, a new Chelsea signing from Napoli, impressed in his first few games but was sent off against Leeds United and has barely featured since.
In addition, Thomas Tuchel's decision to put Reece James in a back three and to move Ruben Loftus-Cheek to right wing-back has done a lot of damage to the Blues. After his side fell behind, Tuchel was forced to move James to a right-wing-back position against Leeds, but the damage had already been done.
Graham Potter switched to a back four from Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva at the centre of the defence against Salzburg. However, it is safe to assume that Potter will need the performances of Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana this season as veteran Cesar Azpilicueta may find it difficult to withstand the pressure of playing as a centre-back on a regular basis.
2.Chelsea's midfield lacks creativity.
This may be a cliché justification, but it cannot be denied. Chelsea have adopted a 3-4-3 formation under Thomas Tuchel, meaning they have just a few midfielders at the Park**. N'Golo Kante's long-term injury absence meant they lacked a real ball-handler and they couldn't get into the opposition half through midfield.
As such, Chelsea's attack is largely done through the wings, with full-backs and wingers such as Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount playing crucial roles. However, the opposition defended deeply, ensuring their full-backs stayed behind to keep Chelsea at bay.
Graham Potter opted for a 4-3-3 formation, moving Mason Mount into midfield and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as central striker. This strategy could work as it allows Mount to create chances from deep and draw attention to opposing teams' defenders, creating a gap in the opposition defence.
3.Inappropriate team selection and player rotation.
Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz have played in all of Chelsea's games this season, while Mason Mount has played just one. While Raheem Sterling had four goals and a few assists to prove he had no problem being named in the starting line-up, Kai Havertz had just scored once and Mount was yet to open his netting account.
Considering the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic were given less playing time, the poor performances of the last two have Chelsea supporters questioning their options. Hakim Ziyech has played just four games this season – each time as a substitute.
One might expect a more sensible approach from Porter in terms of team selection and rotation. Chelsea are likely to capitalise on Hakim Ziyech's playmaking skills and his speed and agility in crosses from wide or from Christian Pulisic. It remains to be seen how Potter will use these resources in the future.
