The popularity of the blockchain market has triggered a large demand for talents based on blockchain technology personnel, and the popularity of blockchain talents is rising at the speed of light. According to the "2018 Blockchain High Salary List" released by Lagou.com, domestic enterprise giants such as Tencent, Xiaomi, Suning, and JD.com have released many high-paying blockchain job needs, trying to explore blockchain-related technologies and applications. At the same time, the list also pointed out that the demand for high-paying jobs is dominated by blockchain-related technology-based positions, among which Suning and Keda have given the highest monthly salary of 100k.

The huge demand for technical talents will inevitably drive the explosive emergence and growth of the entire blockchain training market. Most of the training modes can be divided into online training, traditional IT organization training and offline short-term training camps in high-end forms, but the process of market development is also full of various blockchain training chaos: lecturer qualifications are water-injected, even the most basic names are not public, the course syllabus is not transparent, the teaching quality is shrinking, the class schedule is unreasonable and the training fee standard is uneven, etc.

According to LinkedIn data, the global demand for blockchain talent has grown since 2015 and has exploded from 2016 to 2017. From the perspective of talent supply, the industry with the fastest growth in demand for blockchain talents in recent years is the computer software industry, followed by the financial services and insurance industries, and other industries have not yet generated large-scale talent demand.

LinkedIn data shows that between 2015 and 2017, the number of talents marked with skills related to the old blockchain on LinkedIn files increased by nearly 19 times, but the proportion of global AI talents on the LinkedIn platform is not high, only about 2%. In terms of the global distribution of this type of talent, the United States accounts for 25%, followed by the Indian and the United Kingdom, accounting for 7% and 6% respectively. China's talent base is relatively small, mainly concentrated in Beijing and Shanghai.

Industry insiders believe that the most popular programming languages for blockchain development are C++ and GO, and senior talents who are proficient in cryptography and distributed computing also have inherent advantages for blockchain development.

Di Wang, Vice President of Technology at LinkedIn China, said, "Blockchain is an emerging technology model driven by the technology community and still in the early stage of rapid development, which is not yet complete. Blockchain development requires decentralized thinking, practical application development experience, and rapid learning ability. In layman's terms, blockchain development requires 'soft skills', and AI needs 'hard power'.

At present, talents with blockchain thinking and application development experience are very scarce. Wang Di believes that "enterprises that intend to develop the concept of blockchain and nugget business opportunities need such talents as project leaders, and also need to establish longer-term strategic goals to cultivate and reserve more young technical talents, so as to seize the opportunity when the industry ushers in a real outlet." In addition, it can also carry out talent and technology cooperation with countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and India, where there are more talents with experience in blockchain development than in China.

At the end of 2017, Deloitte released an analysis based on blockchain technology and projects on GitHub, a global software collaboration platform, showing that there are currently 86,034 blockchain projects on GitHub, but only 8% of the projects are maintained, 5% of the projects survive, and the average project life span is only one year.
