This is the couplet hanging on the pillar of the Xin Qiji Memorial Temple: "The iron plate copper peggio follows the east slope and sings the great river to the east, and the beautiful celery is sad and the Southern Song Dynasty Mo flies south with the wild goose." It was inscribed by the famous contemporary writer Guo Moruo in 1959.
The upper couplet writes about Xin Qiji's literary achievements and stylistic characteristics, and the lower couplet expresses his lifelong pursuit and political ideals.
Shanglian "iron plate copper pipa" describes the bold and agitated words; "Jade Hall" is another name for the Hanlin Academy in the Song Dynasty; "Liu Langzhong" is the lyricist Liu Yong at that time; "Da Jiangdong Go" is the first sentence of Su Shi (Nian Nujiao Chibi Nostalgia", and later generations mostly use "Da Jiangdong Go" to represent Su Shi's creative style. Xin Qiji inherited the bold characteristics of Su Ci and made high achievements in creation.
The "celery" in the "beautiful celery and sorrowful millet" of Xia Lianling Dawang refers to celery. "Liezi Yangzhu" contains: Some people praised celery to the rich man in the same township for being delicious, but the rich man ate it but his mouth was swollen and his stomach was upset.
Later generations said that the offerings were thin to show their sincerity. Xin Qiji once wrote **10 articles in 1165, also known as "Ten Treatises on Mei Qin", stating the great plan of resisting Jin to save the country, recovering lost land, and unifying China.
According to historical records, after the Zhou Dynasty moved eastward, the Zhou Dynasty scholars returned to their hometown, and saw that the former temple was razed into a field, and the millet seedlings were clustered, so the subversion of the country was saddened. "The Southern Song Dynasty of Hebei Province Mo flew south with the wild goose", which means that Xin Qiji hoped that the small court of the Southern Song Dynasty would not be partial to the corner of the south of the Yangtze River, but would be determined to recover the lost territory, expressing his pride and ambition of "a man is as dead as iron" (the sentence in Xin Qiji's poem "He Bridegroom").

The meaning of the next link is: Although the celery is good and precious, I still think about the millet seedlings that grow on the land of the ancestral temple of the old country in the north, and how I hope that the Southern Song Dynasty court will not follow the wild geese flying south to the south of the Yangtze River, and be in a corner of peace (without any desire to recover the lost land).
