Emotional failures, coupled with all kinds of obstacles at work, only to find that you should still return to the place where you have roots.

Everyone has their own ideas, but my personal opinion, first to the hometown house, if you have the ability to go to the big city to buy a bed, my rural people before the family has to go to the city to buy a house, but I want to build a house in the hometown first, my parents are alive, the hometown is still a long time to live, if the basic housing is not good, the New Year's season visitors will make people laugh.

In the past, the advantages of big cities were that there were more employment opportunities, market economic factors were relatively large, individuals relied more on ability to survive, and wages were relatively high. The disadvantages are high housing prices, high cost of living, traffic congestion, and poor environment. But now the situation has changed.

Employment opportunities in second-tier provincial capitals have increased a lot over the years, but third- and fourth-tier cities are still not good. However, housing prices and costs have also changed, and now the second-tier provincial capitals are generally around 20,000 yuan, and the cost of food, clothing and travel is almost the same as that of first-tier cities, and the traffic is very congested and the environment is the same. Therefore, the advantage of first-tier cities now is that there are many enterprises, and other aspects are similar to those of provincial capitals.

If a rural child has never been in the city, has food and drink, a car and a house at home, not to say that he is self-sufficient, but he also has no worries about food and clothing, so they do not have to choose, small wealth is peace, there is no big desire for wealth, contentment is not a kind of happiness. Just like we can't ask them to understand that they would rather rent a house in the city, let alone understand our determination to settle down in the city rather than take on the mortgage ourselves.

"I'd rather have a room in a small town than a bed in a big city" means that I would rather live in a small town and live in relative comfort. The bed and the room are just a metaphor, a bed represents an income that can only maintain the most basic expenses, and a room refers to a relatively good quality of life in between, in short, the difference between survival and life. So I think the idea of "I'd rather have a room in a small town" is preferable for the following reasons:

First, for individuals, the quality of life in small towns is higher.

From the point of view of material conditions, in large cities the consumption level is very high, traffic congestion, hospitals are overcrowded, air and noise pollution and other problems are serious, but small towns have public service facilities that can meet basic needs, consumption levels are low, traffic is smooth, and the air is fresher, so it is obvious that small towns are more livable and have a higher quality of life. From the spiritual point of view, due to the intensive talent and the shortage of resources and jobs in large cities, the competition is very fierce, and people are under great mental pressure. In small towns, you can live relatively comfortably and have a greater sense of happiness. So it can be found both materially and spiritually, and the quality of life is higher in small towns.

Second, for society, advocating this concept is more conducive to the coordinated development of cities and towns.

On the one hand, more and more people in modern society are pouring into big cities, resulting in the vicious expansion of the population of big cities, overwhelmed by the burden, the vicious competition for talents, and the depreciation of labor, which is obviously not conducive to the development of big cities. On the other hand, small towns lack talented people to support urban construction, and if we advocate the concept of "preferring one room in small towns" and thus guide more talented people to move into small towns, it will be conducive to promoting the development of cities and towns.

To sum up, we believe that the concept of "preferring a room in a small town to a bed in a big city" is preferable.
