How to install SQL 2008 R2

Steps to install SQL Server 2008 R2:

Click [Install] on the left side of the interface, and then click [New SQL Server Standalone Installation or Add Features to Existing Installation] on the right to enter the [SQL Server 2008 Installer] interface, first [Installer Support Rules], and after the operation is completed, click [OK].

Go to [Product Key], select the appropriate version (I can't choose it here), and click [Next].

Go to [License Terms], check [I accept the license terms], and click [Next] directly.

Go to the [Installer Support File] and click the [Install] button to start installing the support file.

After the installation is completed, go to [Installer Support Rules], click [Show Details] to see the detailed list of rules, and click [Next].

Enter [Function Selection], here I selected [Select All], you can also select the specific functions you need, and you can change the installation location, after the setting is completed, click [Next].

Go to [Instance Configuration], here I directly selected [Named Instance], and everything else is according to the default settings, click [Next].

Go to [Disk Space Requirements] to display the usage of the disk, and you can directly click [Next].

Go to Server Configuration, click Use the same account for all SQL Server services, select NT Authority System, and then click Next.

Go to Database Engine Configuration, click Add Current User to specify the SQL Server administrator, so that the administrator is the system administrator, and click Next after the settings are completed.

Go to [Reporting Services Configuration], select the first item directly according to the default, and click [Next].

Go to Installation Rules and click Next.

Go to [Installation Progress], SQL Server 2008 starts the installation, don't worry about it, just wait for the installation to complete. After the installation is complete, the specific features installed will be listed, and the installation process will be completed, and then click Next to enter the Complete page, prompting SQL Server 2008 installation has been successfully completed.
