Many people think that the extension of the file is set from the file, but in fact it is not, the first step is to open "My Computer" or "Computer" (depending on the system).

Find the "Tools" menu bar in the upper left corner, click "Tools", a drop-down menu will appear, and select "Folder Options" in the drop-down menu

Scroll down the settings and find the "Hide extensions of known file types" field, if your computer has checked this box, undo it, that is, check the previous one, as shown in the figure.

After finishing the above settings, we need to click on the "Apply" selection in the lower right corner, and then click on the "OK" selection, so as to ensure that the settings just now are saved.

Once the settings are complete, we go back to the desktop, or to the place where we want to see the file extension, and we can see that the file suffix extension is displayed.

Step 1: Start by turning on your computer in the start menu, or open my computer on your desktop.

Step 2: After opening the computer i.e. Explorer, click the Tools button in the upper navigation bar with the mouse. That's where our setting of the file extension begins.

Step 4: In the folder options settings interface, click the View tab in the middle of the upstream cherry blossom square.

Step 5: In the View tab, drag the drop-down bar on the right with the left mouse button and pull it down. Drag it all the way to the bottom of the cherry blossoms.

Step 6, at this time, we found the option we want to set, that is, the place marked in the figure, and remove the check mark in the small box in front of the option of hiding the file extension. Then click OK to exit.

In addition to the above methods, there is another way to set the extension. Above is set by opening the explorer to find the folder option. In fact, we can also open it through the control panel.

A complete file name is made up of "filename" and "extension" oak residue. For example, "king" is the file name for user identification; And ". .zip" is the extension, which allows Windows to use as a reference to decide which program to use to open it.

Because the "extension" is only referenced by the operating system, the default value of the "explorer" is to hide it. However, sometimes we may find a file that cannot be opened from the network, so it is necessary to display the "extension" so that we can easily identify it.

We can do this in the Explorer. Click on the desktop "Start" "Programs" "Windows Explorer". The current *** songs do not show the extension.

Here we do some settings: click "View" "Folder Options", in the "View" tab of the folder options window, we disable the "Hide extensions of known file types" function, and then the explorer will quietly display the name of each file in its entirety.
