As of the 2022 World Cup, the weakest host, Qatar, is the state of Qatar.
The FIFA World Cup (FIFAWORLDCUP), referred to as the "World Cup", is a football event with the participation of national teams from all over the world, symbolizing the highest honor in the football world, and having the greatest popularity and influence. The World Cup has been televised to more than 3.5 billion viewers worldwide. The World Cup is held every four years, and any FIFA member state can send a team to sign up for the event.
The Brazilian national team is the team that has won the most World Cups (5 times) and has permanently retained the previous World Cup winners' trophy, the Remet Cup, after winning 3 World Cups. The birthplace of modern football is England, whose team won the World Cup for the first time in 1966. The current World Cup trophy is the Hercules Cup, which was first lifted by four-time World Cup winners Germany in 1974 and has been used ever since.
Tournament History:
On 21 May 1904, the first president of FIFA, the Frenchman Roberto Guerran, presented this idea for the first time to the leaders of national football and instructed its secretary-general, the Dutchman Hilschmann, to draw up a document for the occasion. However, due to the small number of countries that expressed their willingness to participate, and because of political and sports discord, the plan was aborted.
After the end of the First World War, Hule Remet, the founder of the Paris Red Star, was elected president of FIFA, and he resumed the stalled project. He did a great deal of persuasion to the leaders of the world of football, trying to prove that a world football competition could be played in parallel with the Olympic Games founded by Baron de Coubertin, and that it could flourish.
