R309 is a field positive feedback linear compensation resistor to ensure good field scan linearity.

When it is too large or open, it will make the field linearity worse.

3) Due to poor bootstrap (boost) capacitance or field output capacitance.

C306 is a step-up capacitor, and its function is to ensure that the field output tube is provided with power supply twice the field supply voltage during the field reverse stroke, so as to improve the efficiency of the field output tube and reduce the power consumption. If it is disfigured or bad, it will result in a poor field sawtooth wave, causing the upper part of the image to compress and a backsweep line to appear.

C308 is a field output capacitor, which is not only responsible for the output task of field sawtooth wave signal, but also has the power supply function of field output tube. When it is damaged, there will be a failure of compression under the grating and insufficient field width. C302 is a bootstrap capacitor, and its capacitance or leakage will cause the midpoint of the field output tube Q302 and Q303 (that is, the connection point of the emitter of the two tubes) to seriously deviate from the normal value, so that the upper and lower tubes work asymmetrically, resulting in linear distortion of the field sawtooth wave.

The field linearity is severely defective, and the return line is also generated.

4) The field output stage is damaged due to the low supply voltage or bias circuit components.

The field output stage is damaged or deteriorated due to the low supply voltage or bias circuit components (bias diodes, resistors) (including cracks in the solder joints of this part of the components), which will cause the static operating point to shift, causing the area where the transistor is working to change, resulting in field sawtooth wave distortion.
