Method steps.

Press and hold the "F12&rdquo" key on the keyboard before powering on, and the "Please select boot device (or startup device menu)" menu will appear. At this point, you put your XP System Recovery Disc into the CD-ROM drive, then select "CD *** (related CD-ROM options)" and press the enter key twice.

After the disc boots, the screen shows boot from cd: press enter twice before booting from the disc, otherwise boot from the hard disk, as shown below:

4. When the language and other preference setting interface appears (as shown in the figure below), you can set the "language to be installed", "time and currency format", "keyboard and input method" according to your own usage. In general, we can use the default settings and click the "Next" button directly;

The interface of selecting the system installation partition as shown in the figure below appears, Lenovo computers generally have two hard disk partitions (C drive and D drive) from the factory, it is strongly recommended to format only C drive (disk 0 partition 1) to reinstall the system.

As shown in the figure above, click "Drive Options (Advanced)" in the red box, switch to the interface as shown in the figure below, select "Disk 0 Partition 1" with the mouse, and then click the "Format" button below;

The system pops up the data loss warning dialog box as shown in the figure below, click the "OK" button to continue;

The following figure shows the state of the partition after formatting, click the "Next" button to continue the installation of the system;

The installer starts to copy files and installers to the selected partition, there will be several reboots in the middle, no need to do anything, please wait patiently for 10-20 minutes;

When the interface shown in the figure below appears, you can enter a user name (Chinese or English) as the administrator account of the system (here as an example, enter lenovo), and you can also select your favorite **as the account**. After entering the selection, click "Next" to continue;

Enter a computer name in this interface, you can also use the default one, and you can choose a desktop background of your choice. Click the "Next" button when the selection is complete;

The interface as shown in the figure below appears, adjust the correct time zone, date and time, and click "Next".

All settings have been completed, click the "Start" button, and the system will do the final debugging and optimization;

1. Use [U Depth U Disk Boot Disk Maker] to make a U Boot Disk, restart the computer and wait for the boot screen to appear, press the startup shortcut, select the U disk to start to enter the U Depth main menu, and select the "Win8PE Installation and Maintenance Version (New Machine)" option.

2. Enter the Win8PE system, the installation tool will pop up by itself, click "Browse" to select and save it to the WIN system image file in the U disk.

6. After completion, a prompt will pop up to restart the computer, click the "Yes (Y)" button.

7. At this time, you can unplug the U disk, restart the system to start the installation, we don't need to operate, wait for the installation to be completed, and finally restart it once before entering the system desktop.
