The Olympic Games originated more than 2,000 years ago in ancient Greece, and is the world's largest multi-sport event sponsored by the International Olympic Committee, which is held every four years and lasts no more than 16 days, making it the most influential sports event in the world.
The first step is for the host city to submit a written application to the IOC. The IOC Executive Board will conduct a preliminary selection of cities that have submitted bids.
Next, the IOC Evaluation Committee conducted a site visit to the bidding city. The evaluation committee will conduct on-site visits to the host cities and submit the results of the inspection to the IOC in the form of a written report.
Then the IOC plenary votes to determine the host city. Finally, the IOC signs contracts with the cities that will host the Olympic Games.
