At the beginning of January 2013, the China Cost Engineer Association held a meeting on the preparation of cost engineer textbooks, according to the participants, the main changes in the new version of the textbooks in 2013 were:

1. The subjects of "Basic Theory and Related Regulations" are added: (1) The "pricing control content" that originally belonged to the "Valuation and Control" part is transferred; (2) The "construction organization and planning" that originally belonged to the "Civil Engineering and Installation Technology and Measurement" was transferred.

2. The subject of "Valuation and Control of Construction Projects" was changed to "Valuation of Construction Projects", and the "control content" was deleted and the content of "valuation" was added, such as the valuation method of "municipal engineering" was added;

3. The subject of "Construction Engineering Technology and Measurement" deletes the content of "Construction Organization and Planning" and adds the technology and measurement of "Municipal Engineering".

4. "Case Analysis" adds corresponding content according to the adjustment of the first three books.

From the perspective of the content of the revision, it expands the coverage of the profession and the scope of application of the certificate, and also increases the comprehensiveness, breadth and depth of the examination, and also lays the foundation for the next step of merging "highway cost", "railway cost" and "water conservancy cost".
