2. In order to verify whether the optical drive can burn the disc, we prepare a blank disc for testing.

3. We put the blank disc into the optical drive and check the status of the optical drive on the computer management page. The blank disc we use is *** disc, so the optical drive is shown as ***-rw type.

4. We double-click the disc drive icon to display the burn dialog box. Prove that this disc and optical drive are working properly and can be burned normally.

5. Right-click on the disc drive, and the pop-up menu will bring us to see the attribute capacity of this blank CD.

6. In the Optical Drive Properties Hardware Option, check that the optical drive driver is normal, and the type is ***-rw burning type.

7. In order to confirm the type of optical drive again, we also select the computer on the computer management page, right-click the pop-up drop-down menu, and select the management button.

8. Enter the computer management interface, select Device Management, and view the optical drive device of this computer.

9. Then in the device management interface, you can see that this computer has only one optical drive device, and the type of optical drive is ***-rw type, which can burn discs.

Ways to see if the optical drive has a burning function:

1. Put a blank disc in the CD-ROM drive, and the CD-ROM with a burning prompt can be burned.

2. Look at the surface of the optical drive, if there is a optical drive with the word ***-rom can not be burned, the optical drive with the word ***-rw can be burned, and the format of the disc can be selected in the burning software, ***-rom is a read-only optical drive, which can read *** and CD discs, ***-rw is a read-write optical drive, that is, a recorder, can burn *** and CD discs.

3. Look at the drive letter of the disc, open "My Computer", check the drive letter of the disc, if it is ***-rw or ***-ram, you can burn ***, if it is ***-r or ***-rom, you can't burn***.

4. Right-click "My Computer", "Properties", "Device Manager" to view the drive type, click on "***-ROM Drive" in "Device Manager" to view *** model, if it is ***-ROM, it cannot be burned, if it is ***w or ***rw, it can be burned.
