KPJ series is a reel powered electric flat car, which is powered by cable reel AC 380V. The cable drum is hysteresis coupling to ensure that the cable is evenly stressed and not easy to break. AC 380V provides power to the YZ lifting metallurgical motor on the flat car, and the motor drags the flat car to run.

KPD series is a 36V single-phase (three-phase) low-voltage rail-powered electric flat car, powered by a rail conductor line. The ground step-down transformer control cabinet will step down the single-phase (three-phase) AC 380V to the single-phase (three-phase) 36V, feed the flat car through the rail conductor line, and then step up to single-phase (three-phase) AC 380V through the vehicle-mounted step-up transformer. It provides power to the single-phase capacitor motor for flat cars (YZ lifting metallurgical motor for three-phase).
Because there is no cable, it is safe and reliable, not afraid of hot, not afraid of smashing, does not hinder cross transportation, is easy to realize remote control and automation, and makes it very convenient for the transportation layout of the factory. However, the track construction requirements are higher, and the track insulation must be ensured, and the track should be compensated with copper bar when it exceeds a certain running distance. When the operating distance is long, the number of step-down transformers must also be increased.
Because the starting current flowing through the track when the KPD flat car starts is very large (up to 1000A), there is a large voltage drop at the end of the track at this time, which makes it difficult to start the single-phase capacitor motor, so the maximum load tonnage of the single-phase KPD flat car is 50 tons, and the three-phase 36V low-voltage track power supply is used when the load is more than 50 tons, and the YZ lifting metallurgical motor is used.
The product KPDZ not only inherits the advantages of KPD flat car, but also avoids the shortcomings of the original model with difficult starting and short running distance. KPDZ flat car rectifier the single-phase (or three-phase) AC 36V on the track with a vehicle-mounted rectifier device into DC 36V, drag the DC traction motor to make the flat car run, the DC motor is not easy to burn compared with the AC motor, the starting torque is large, and the overload capacity is strong. Even due to the aging of the track insulation, it can still work reliably under the condition of undervoltage.
